Juicy XBH's for leagues that count it. He is the modern day Alfonso Soriano.

Outside of OBP and points leagues where the K/BB hurts, there’s nothing he doesn’t do. Standard Roto leagues, he’s a stud. At SS/2B no less.

Benched first game after ASB?

Pretty common for guys who make the trip to get some time off.  It wasn't a "B" for them.  :)

Don’t want to name names, but someone in this thread some pages back said Baez was his first cut if he needed someone off waivers. I really hope he didn’t do that. He’s been fun to own all year.

Dudes putting up "Goldschmidt-esque" numbers as a 2b, 3b, SS. Insane value from 3 troublesome positions!

if only i could slot him in all three positions at the same time....

Lets hold off on the Soriano comps for now.

At his peak, Soriano had four 30/30 seasons in a five year stretch. He hit over 30 HRs seven different times.

So far Baez hasn't ever reached 30 steals or 30 HRs, and he's not even on pace for 30/30 this year.

Baez has been pretty awesome so far, but I wouldn't call him Alfonso Baez quite yet.

Anyone see regression from this guy?

16 BB so far this year makes me uneasy.

I buy the breakout but yeah obv he's not Slg .600 going forward.  This will most likely be his career year.

He’s on pace for

.302/37/130/105/28

that would be one of the best middle infield fantasy seasons in recent memory for 5 category production.

Altuve last year .346/24/81/112/32

Jose Ramirez qualifies at 2B, but he’s played 3B all year so that doesn’t really count. Rollins ‘07 was that last thing I saw that looked similar, and wow did he have a crazy year. 716AB’s for Rollins in ‘07, Baez on pace for 100 less.

Rollins 2007 .296/30/94/139/41

Baez pace at 716 AB’s for fun....

.302/43/147/118/31
