that ish is crazy....

You read that right. He struck out nine straight batters, needing just 36 pitches to do so. #STLCards

Has there been an innings cap mentioned for Reyes once he joins the big club?

No link, but I've heard 100 innings thrown out there.

I'm sure they would like to limit his innings of course, but if he is pitching so dominantly I don't see how they can. Skip a start or two here & there but I don't see it becoming a big deal.

So he gets the Brew Crew with his next start.  Miller park can be tough, BUT you have to hit the ball first....Majors is a different animal, though I wouldn't be shocked if he's the best pitcher in the 2nd half of the season.  I'm probably getting a little ahead of myself with that statement, but it is pretty obvious to me this kid is unique. I mean, he wasn't facing guys in the Majors but goodness, look at those stats above. Wow!

Not really getting ahead of yourself, he is a Jose Fernandez type talent.

When was the last time someone struck out 9 consecutive batters? Minor league, major league...

quote from FantasyPros 'expert' Bobby Sylvester 9 days ago:

"If you are looking for the next minor leaguer to be called up & dominant, look no further than the best pitching prospect in baseball, who has done it before. The Cardinals have said they will make room for him in the rotation. When they do, he's a top-30 SP from the get-go with top-15 type of upside."

"And Mozeliak said he didn’t think there would be any restrictions on how many innings Reyes can pitch before the end of the season.

“Due to the fact he’s going into the rotation at the end of May or in June, he should be able to go really as much as you could hope. I don’t think he will have a cap,” said Mozeliak."
