Still think it's criminal he's relegated to batting 9th.

Idk. Sometimes having a really good hitter batting 8th or 9th appeals to me because of how counterintuitive it is.

Happy he's starting to bat 5th with a little more frequency. Happy to see him hit a bomb while batting 5th. He needs to force Boone's hand when he gets these limited opportunities out of the 9th spot.

Aside from the home runs he's started to cool off. Might be time to sell before he has a cold month like Ozzie Albies.

But then he'll be on someone else's roster once he heats up again.

i actually think he should be starting the allstar game over Altuve.

and although Hicks has been good of late. i think Gleyber should be leading off now too....gardner can his ninth and be the 2nd leadoff man

edit: eh maybe not start over altuve. just noticed altuve has 3.3 WAR to gleybers 1.8

He's not technically on it until Thursday:

Torres was put on the 10-day DL effective Thursday due to a right hip strain.

Spin:

Since the Yankees are effectively waiting to place Torres on the DL until Thursday, he will not be eligible to return until after the All-Star break. While he's out, Neil Walker will receive a majority of the starts at second base. Torres should be back to full health by the time the second half of the season starts since manager Aaron Boone classified this injury as mild, though the Yankees failed to comment on a timetable.

You mean for the last 66games

That's 15 games into the second half .

Good news regarding the Didi injury, he will retain 2B/SS for keeper leagues next year in Yahoo. Needs 3 more SS starts and should get those in the next 3 days.

Last 15 games:

.407

3 HR

10 RBI

9 Runs

2 SB

12.9 BB%

He has increased his BB% since the ASB. Before the ASB it was 7.1%, after the break it's 12.6%.

He’s been laying off the down and away breaking pitch, which was his weakness.   Like many young kids coming up
