Corey Clement 2018 Outlook

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be upset if he goes off.....just put ekeler in his place next to melvin gordon. Probably a recipe for disaster.

Lol, "pitch count." It's a snap count in football, what is with these morons?

Also, it's amusing to see everyone panic.

Edit: The 'game shape' thing is a bit confusing considering he's fully practiced all week... Sounds like it could be more of a 'we'll toss him out there and see how he responds" and if he gets rolling and feels fine they'll just let him play. Still not really worth the risk, I would think.

I don’t think a “pitch count” really changes anything he was always gonna share snaps with Smallwood and Adams.

Hopefully they don’t trade for a RB. Without a snap count, he will be a very solid RB2 every week. Smallwood isn’t good and Clement fits the offense well.

69 yards, TD, 3 receptions. That's 14.40 points in 1/2 PPR and 15.90 in full PPR. Solid.

Clement has been Ajayi's direct backup since the offseason. Nothing has changed. Smallwood was on the bubble and the only reason he is still on roster is because of injuries and Josh Adam failing to impress in the preseason.

69 (nice) yards on 14 touches + a TD vs Smallwoods 51 yards on 20. And he was supposedly on a snap count. Looking like a solid waiver pickup ROS unless they trade for another RB.

I do fully expect the Eagles to trade for a starting RB though. They like Clement, but they like him more in a secondary role.

I think no one can say with any kind of certainty that they are going to trade for a RB.  In-season trades rarely happen in the NFL, and teams obsess over draft picks (over-value them) and they aren't going to give up a 3rd round pick for an old RB.  Philly's SB hopes don't hinge on upgrading their RB talent.

Smallwood had an opportunity with Clement on a reported pitch count but Clement clearly outplayed him.

Trading for McCoy makes a lot of sense for the Eagles.
