Does anyone think with Sproles coming back that its going to cut into his upside/production?  I think he's a steal where he is going but Sproles and him play the same type of role... Haven't heard much on Sproles status.

Had a hunch, didn't follow through.  Don't think this continues though...

Sproles is mostly a concern because of how much punishment he can take. He's like the headless horseman

I own both Clement and Ajayi.

Clement looked horrible. Should've had a TD. The seas parted for him and he had literally 1 guy to juke out and ran straight into the defender and got tackled.

I'd still hold him for another week or two to see if he can turn it around but if not I'd be ok dropping him for a waiver wire add. Especially with Sproles around.

This game shouldn't change anything. The Eagles O-line is still elite. Clement was sprinkled in and got some of the most meaningful carries of the game at the end, where he almost broke a TD. But as long as Ajayi is healthy, he's best left on your bench as a potential league winning handcuff.

Took a flier on him but [Removed AC content]. Sproles definitely played way more than I anticipated.

I thought he was league winning but he didn’t look great outside that long run tonight.

I already dropped him and moved on after tonight. (Yahoo lets you drop bench players and add FA's even after they've played). He might have some decent games here or there, but I would never want to start him unless Ajayi / Sproles got hurt. At that point, if I'm playing for an injury I'd rather have a league winning RB type stash instead of a flex type of player.

If Ajayi gets hurt he will be getting the bulk of the carries behind a great offensive line. Sproles will stay in his same role.

If you drafted Clement to be your flex while Ajayi is healthy, then yeah, I'd look elsewhere. But drop at your own risk.

I feel like sproles has been baiting early season waiver hunters for years. I’m not dropping clement but not starting him obviously.

Dropped for Jaylen Samuels, who will most likely be dropped for a 4pm player. Gotta love yahoo.

fair enough. like I said, I think it's worth stashing Clement for a few more weeks at least to get a larger sample size.

I like the prospects of clement, but I want no part of this backfield anymore. I'm 30 years old now, I don't need this kind of stress in my life.

If Ajayi gets hurt, Clement would probably move into his role and Smallwood into Clement's, with Sproles still in the mix. That to me is not a desirable enough situation to hold onto him, I think there's better stashes out there. That's just my opinion though.

I think Clement is a league winner. Never want to wish a injury on anybody, but if Ajayi goes down.. Clement catapults into RB 1/2 conversation.

I’m gonna say that was just a great open field tackle by a guy destined for greatness.

Hopefully next time time he makes the guy miss.

Sproles back hurts Clement quite a bit. The Eagles wouldn't be bringing Sproles back if they didn't plan on utilizing him in the passing game and on punt returns. Clement was a hero in the SB and playoffs, but he was a bit player in the regular season. And while I was high on Clement making the team, he never looked electric or dynamic running the football. He was productive in the pre-season and when called upon though. And that is what matters. He has good hands.

I don't like the ADP's of any of the Eagles' backs except Sproles right now. Maybe if Ajayi falls into the 4th-5th rounds he becomes appealing, but not in the 3rd. I can agree with that.

And this has become reality. Clement took the biggest hit from the Sproles re-signing. He is going to need a Sproles or Ajayi injury to become fantasy relevant.

Jeez, people. It was one game, and it was the first game, against a decent Falcons team. I'm not fading on him just yet. Anything can happen to anyone at this point in the season. Until proven otherwise, Clement's ceiling is still worth a stash. Week 1 isn't even over yet.

Clement did well with his limited touches.  And he was one great open-field tackle away from having a 35 yard touchdown run.  I am not worried about how Clement performed.

The concern, though, is that Clement's role as red zone specialist seems to have vaporized.  Ajayi and Sproles were both in the backfield several times when Philly had the ball inside Atlanta's 10 yard line.  And obviously Ajayi got the game winning TD runs.  So Clement's flex appeal is lessened if this split proves to be a continuing trend.

I think I’m more concerned about the fact that he just didn’t look great. Dancing in the backfield and his legs are moving a mile a minute but it’s not like he’s chewing up yardage. The goaline usage is also discouraging. Philly may want to give Sproles the rock a ton this season as he’s already made it clear he’s retiring. A philly farewell tour of padding his stats seems like it could be a possibility.

surprised how much action Sproles got...Looks like Clement may just a cuff after all. Only one game though, so I guess we'll see

He got one be gain and did nothing with the other four touches. He didn't put a dent into Ajayi with this game.
