Ajayi didn't practice today......

Jay Ajayi - RB - Eagles

Jay Ajayi (back) did not practice Wednesday.

Neither did Darren Sproles (hamstring), leaving Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood, and Josh Adams as the team's healthy running backs. Coach Doug Pederson labeled Ajayi as day to day in his media session Wednesday.

Clement needs to be 100% owned.

This offense is about to start producing TDs and Jay is already banged up.  ( though I bet Jay plays this week )

Is Cement the #2 option on that offense now for this week? An does he receives passes or will that be left for Smallwood?

Indy did a pretty good job stopping the run in Week 2 v. The Indigenous Peoples of Our Nation's Capitol.  Maybe this rushing matchup is not as easy as we thought before the season started.

Corey is cemented as the passing preference with Sproles shelved ... would expect him and Smallwood to divvy up the early down work, with the PS kid spelling both.

no brainer in ppr

They're not the worst defense in the NFL like I expected, but this still has blowup potential for Clement

That might have more to do with the Redskins not being good than anything. Colts LB group is really inexperienced.

Darius Leonard (LB) is no joke

I have him in both leagues.

His nickname is the animal, 18 tackles last week. I play in a 55 man roster dynasty league that has no waiver wire, and a rookie and supplemental draft each season, he was the highest scoring player league wide last week. (97)

I know most of the talk with Clement is short-term, but what's the long-term thoughts? What happens when Sproles eventually comes back? I'm concerned he'll go back to a backseat role like Week 1 and Sproles will still get a bunch of touches

If Clement produces while Sproles is out, we may see a changing of the guard.

Ajayi out

Wentz back

Clement is the next man up, at 220 pounds, and excellent receiving chops, this is his chance to seize a sizable role and never look back.

Be about that life C.C.

Damn he only ran a 4.68 40 and 28.5 vert. Doesn't sound too explosive off those numbers.

Always been very suspicious of 40 times.

What if you're a tenth of a second later than other people getting off the block? Get one shot at it. That's now your speed for life?

College production seems like the far more important statistic as well as YPC in the pros of course.

Even if you're suspicious of 40 times that's slow AF, unless he had some kind of injury leading up to it.  Probably going to see another 50/50 split with Smallwood like last time despite people's hopes that ajayi/sproles out means hes a workhorse.
