Kerryon Johnson 2018 Outlook

I actually think the Lions will lose this game and tomorrow is Sam Darnolds coming out party. Darnold looks like a franchise elevating QB

Kerryon will have little work but I predicts he is efficient with it and makes a bigger case for week 2

Respectfully disagree. I think he turns it over 3 times.

Yeah I’m a USC guy and I swooped the Lions DST this week. Darnold will be solid eventually but he’s prone to pushing thr envelope too much and it’s his first NFL game.

Sorry, off topic

This team can’t run the ball. They could have Jim Brown in the backfield. Same old story. This team has been 1 dimensional on offense for years and they kept the same OC. Is anyone really surprised.  Kerryon might be a good back but he is in a terrible situation.

  1. Every year there is a Lion's RB that is over-hyped. This year is was Kerryon and it's the same old story: The Lions don't run the ball.

Lions will never establish the run...he is a waste in Detroit

It's a shame too, because there were one or two drives when they still had a chance that Johnson looked pretty decent, both catching and rushing.  Wonder what Blount's injury is and if that might change things a bit.

You guys are all incredibly short sighted. Was a great day for Kerryon. Blount hurt with negative yardage so now Riddick is his only competition. Lions could easily go 0-5 and then they have to go with their rookies.

Lions will likely be a low running team but Kerryon is clearly going to be in their game plan moving forward, looked good too. All I could have asked for

Week 1 overreactios, ppl saying to drop Stafford it’s laughable and the talk about this dude smh.

He looked like the best back out there.  By the time they decided to give him the rock the game was starting to get out of hand.  If this was a close game or lions were leading it would be a completely different story.

He made a nice 1 handed catch as well.

Actually this was the best case scenario for most fantasy footballers. Those that have him, probably had him on their bench week 1 due to the congestion in the backfield. He looked like their best pure RB and showed signs out of the backfield. And the icing is that Blount was bad and then got hurt.

If you owned him, things look up for the rest of the season.

if you didn't own him, you can probably get him for cheap coming off what looked like a low-production outing.

I'm not worry by his usage. Its only a matter of time before he's the lead guy. I didn't draft him to win me games in September.

I think he's a fantastic buy-low right now. Blount is injured, Abduallah sucks, and Riddick is a passing down specialist. Kerryon will get his. Game script wrote him out of Week 1. There will be weeks down the line he produces, it just may not come until midseason. You should have known that when you bought in though.

Totally agree. McFadden without the injury issues.  There I said it.

This offense looks like it may be a train wreck with a train wreck coach. Buy low in all IDP leagues.

Kerryon does not have the tackling skills to be out there yet...They need players who can stop pick 6's on the field

I don’t know. Blount is too slow, Riddick only knows how to run routes, and Abdullah is too busy disappointing everyone. Kerryon might be their best shot.

So frustrating....thought Blount may miss week 2 initially when he got hurt. Yawn. Sit and hold until furthur notice.

In terms of running backs, it's not a week 1 overreaction, it's a 19 year trend...

I think Kerryon’s stat line was pretty decent when you consider that the Jets knew exactly what plays they were running. The talent is there.

I’m not predicting this necessarily, but I think there’s a script where KOJ gets 20-25 touches this week. Blount is hurt and at least limited, and also he sucks behind Detroit’s inexplicably awful line, Theo is Telegraph RB 1.0, no matter how many times the Lions try and run him, KOJ is so obviously the best RB even stubborn coaches who like playing old guys can’t miss it. He’s not Riddick as a pass-catcher but he’s not far off (check out the one-handed catch last week) so the game script should keep him involved, he’s Detroit’s best chance to keep the defense honest, and the cry to play him more is deafening. I don’t think Patricia’s the type of coach to cave to fan/media pressure, but I do think (hope) he’s not an idiot and can see what the rest of us saw, that he’s clearly the best RB on the roster.

i don't see a script where the lions run the ball 20 times in a game.

According to the current regime in Detroit, LaGarrette Blount is more talented than him. He is not like Barclay who can start right away. This chump could not even beat out Blount in training camp
