2018 1.01 (Barkley) for Diggs + 2018 1.05 + 2019 1.0?

Recommended Posts

So Diggs and two 1st rounders for Barkley. This is an orphan team i am rebuilding in a dynasty league. The pick I am getting for 2019 is likely to eb a high pick because the other owner's team is a mess.

I think I will accept, but wondering what others are seeing out there.

I'd pass.  Yes, you still likely get a good RB at 1.05, but might as well get the "sure thing" in Barkely.

Return the favor?

If you're getting Barkley? Then do it! He's gonna have a good rookie year, and you don't want to miss out!

I wouldn't do that, I'd want more for Barkley.  I don't know what you're roster looks like, but assuming it's a rebuild I'd rather rebuild with Barkley than 1.05  + ? + Diggs.

Also, I traded my 2018 first round pick away in 2017, and I was projected to finish last.   I made a crapload of trades last offseason, and I'll be sending 1.13.  Point is, you can't bank on someone to finish last, especially this early in the offseason.

Before anyone says I'm full of it...

I'd rather rebuild a team with Barkley as a centerpiece. As for the proposed trade, it's a no for me, you are only moving back four spots and getting an extra pick next year.

I would keep Barkley. His pass catching and draft investment should get him a ton of work, and hopefully he'll be around for a long time.

Thanks ICock. Yes, in the end I decided to keep the pick. The whole reason I took on this orphan team was because it came with the 1.01 and I had already identified Barkley as a potential generational talent.

Here is the current starters and depth:

I didn't include tight end because it's a s--- show and needs a starter and depth. I figure I can get a potential WR1 at 2.01 and a TE at 3.01

Bradford, Sam ARI QB
Brees, Drew NOS QB
Garoppolo, Jimmy SFO QB
Anderson, C.J. CAR RB
Fournette, Leonard JAC RB
Richard, Jalen OAK RB
Williams, Jamaal GBP RB
Benjamin, Kelvin BUF WR
Godwin, Chris TBB WR
Shepard, Sterling NYG WR
Stills, Kenny MIA WR

take that.  It is a major steal.  Diggs is a proven commodity and will continue to produce, plus it is a contract year for him so he will be motivated that much more.
