Sir Anthony got lucky with that one. He's not as unhittable as we thought he was

Good test for seranthony here

I'll give him a C- on that one.  Passing grade for sure b/c he got the save, but DJ and Blackmon hit him really really hard.

He pitched pretty well given the lions den he was thrown into.

Sir Anthony shouldn’t have been used today. Thrown into the fire just 2 days after throwing 42 pitches in a high-leverage situation Sunday.

He’s the only good reliever in that pen.

Sooooooooo...... Romo?

It looks like he’s the guy for now but I still don’t want anything to do with that pen.

He seems to get a lot of fly ball outs doesn't he? It scares me every time someone makes contact

And they had Monday off so Rondon shouldve been good to go.

After Rondon's 3rd save in a row the manager stated that both will see save opportunities going forward.  It's a standard type of response when the previous closer is looking like he's losing a grip to a new one.  This was a nice three run lead to play with so not surprising they went with Giles today.  He closed it and thus keeps his name in the mix.  If it had been a 1 run lead today I would have been more surprised had they gone to Giles after Rondon's good run.

Unfortunately, it seems that Giles' confidence is something the manager has to continually consider and manage.

Yea, you're right. Hinch has to manage Giles or risk losing him mentally and psychologically.

True, although the way Rondon has pitched, he still deserves to get the majority.  It would be borderline ridiculous for him not to.

Rondon did have a nice stretch. I remember owning him several years back when he was closing for the Cubbies; decent for a couple seasons till they decided to go get Chapman.

Maybe its time we take what Hinch says and not speculate on "coach speak", that multiple guys in that bullpen will get saves.

And the year before that as well.  On top of that and most importantly last year's playoff meltdown.

This happening every year is not a good thing. He's clearly not trusted and doubt management will want to use him in a tight playoff situation again.

Astros have plenty of bullpen help for the playoffs mccullers and morton can easily slot in for bullpen help like the defending champs did last year.
