Paxton vs. Kershaw ROS **WHIR**

Recommended Posts

Who would you rather have ROS, Paxton or Kershaw? Another owner offered me Kershaw for Paxton, straight up. We have no idea how healthy Kershaw will be ROS, but Paxton has also had many health issues throughout his career.

8-team league. Here is my current rotation:

James Paxton

Aaron Nola

David Price

Dallas Keuchel

Jack Flaherty

Jose Quintana

DL - Noah Syndergaard

DL - Yu Darvish

Eventually, this would be my rotation:

Kershaw

Syndergaard

Nola

Darvish

Price

Keuchel

What do you think?

Yeah you nailed it. I worry about Kershaw this year but Paxton hasn't exactly process himself over a full year.  Now's the time of year you focus on guys who have the experience to make a difference over a full season. I'm not buying a Kershaw demise yet. Take the deal.

I would go with Kershaw as well.  Thanks for the help with him.

Probably Kershaw, both have injury concerns ROS. If healthy for the second half I'd prefer Kershaw though having a better idea what you'd get. Maybe this month or so off keeps him fresh for a good second half, his mileage for the season.

Paxton not only has injuries in the past to worry about, but also hasn't pitched over a 150 innings. Maybe he goes past 150 innings and stays healthy, if he does who knows how well he'll pitch after 180 innings or more, if he will be burnt out at the wrong time for fantasy or not. Kind of a leap of faith with both of them not knowing when the next injury might pop up.

Gotta roll the dice with Kershaw, take the trade.

Not only does Paxton have injury concerns, he also has innings issues. I believe he hasn't pitched over 140 innings in his career. He may eclipse that number this year, but there's no telling how he will perform then.

Do the trade and keep those fingers crossed on the health of Clayton, lol

Best of luck,
