Myles Turner 2018-2019 Season Outlook

Recommended Posts

He's, like, good at defense and stuff....

Sure, the rebounding is still a bit inconsistent, but can't complain at all when the defense is this elite and the offensive portion of his game has been nice too (even from behind the arc).

Isn't defensive rebounding part of defense?

At least not in my opinion.  There's rebounding (offensive and defensive) and then there's defense (steals and blocks).  Not being smart or anything, but I would think they are listed in separate categories because they are two separate things.

Defensive rebounding is a key part of good defense in general, limiting the offense to just one shot. A good thought is "one shot and out".

I thought it was widely known that rebounding was part of defense?

You get a cookie for such technical analysis...

He's having a great game.  I'm going to enjoy it, and it's still an elite defensive performance regardless.  Hard to say 10 stocks isn't.

It's not technical. I just wanted to point out that he is a solid defender but there is more to defense than just stocks.

Didn't you know, guys like Kanter and Randle are seen as good defenders, because of their rebounding..........

Except I didn't say that. I said u have to consider both stocks and rebounding as part of defense.

Turner just blocked his 2nd shot of the game and landed horribly.  Walked off under his own power, but with a good enough limp.  Obviously really hoping it's nothing serious.  If I hear anything on the Cavs' broadcast, I'll relay it.

If it ends up being something serious, I'm about ready to give up.  He was having another great game before that, including a couple of fun rainbow 3's in the first quarter. Maybe I'm not allowed to have fun while watching one of my players, as Osman got hurt last Saturday after having a fun/good start to the game.  Sorry, just wanted to vent a bit as this is truly getting ridiculous.

Already an update....

He has a "sore knee, but is available to return to the game".

Sounds legit as I already see him back on the bench.  I was about to say it didn't look good when it happened, but I'm glad it seems like I was dead wrong.  Sorry for the venting and such then.

Dude, I read your update and freaked out. I’ve had so many injuries with all my players and that was the last straw.

I literally told my fantasy chat group I’m out, none of my players can get healthy, and left the chat 😂

Now Turner is back baha.
