Kyle Anderson 2018-2019 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Was really hoping for an update today on his status. Don't want to drop but it's crunch time for the teams fighting for the playoffs and the uncertainty of his status has been costly without an Injured tag

He's got it now

That was weird, happened like 5 minutes after my whiney post lol. he got the Injured tag but it's only because tomorrow will be his 3rd game Out in a row. Still no clarity on a timetable or the severity of the injury. Wish we had more information to go off of in order to make roster decisions.

Of course if he's your only guy injured then it's a no brainer to hold him since he's got the tag now.

Decisions are going to need to be made come trade deadline. If it means picking up someone with a great ROS opportunity, is he droppable? I know what he can do off the court but who knows how long that will be.

Droppable in most 12 teams.

Anyone think even if Anderson's injury isn't major that the Grizzlies will "rest" him much like they did with Tyreke Evans last year?

I think he's unfortunately going to be in a very fluid situation for the rest of the year, but a lot of it hinges on what does or doesn't happen at the trade deadline

They "rested" tyreke because he was having a great season and was a trade bait.

He was being "rested" even 2 months after the trade deadline

My "research" was owning him last year. Look up his game logs from February to March for last season. Are we talking about the same guy?

Edit: February to April

Considering:

1) he is listed as questionable for tomorrow's game against OKC

2) Conley and Gasol have a big chance of being traded by tomorrow's deadline

Is he a priority to stash now? I'm wondering what his role will look like moving forward pending the circumstances...

Depends who they get back.

What's his ros outlook look like?

Street clothes watching on the bench by the looks of it.

what the f--- was the initial diagnostic

Right...Could've picked up Valanciunas if there was any sort of clarity when this injury was first reported

This is sketchy imo. He was supposed to see a specialist when they got back to Memphis 5 days ago and now he's just been "available if needed" but "Out" a day in advance the next game?

And like I was saying previously, IF he's cleared to play, who knows if we can even count on him with Memphis probably hoping to tank. Wouldn't be surprised to see him healthy and sitting out games here and there.

And to think I couldve picked up JV...but the way Memphis handled this from the beginning just held most of us hostage

Honestly that's on you bro, JV > SloMo @ any point in the season...

Should've been ready to cut bait the second he said he was going to see a specialist

I don't think that's true.

There was a moment in time, right when I couldve picked up JV, that the possibility that both Gasol and Conley were going to be traded and Anderson looked like a big winner if that did in fact happen. Between that and the fact that there was no clarity on the shoulder issue that had just surfaced at the time, it was really hard for me to drop him at that point. But I do of course regret not doing it

Man, Delon Wright and Ivan Rabb are both on my wire and would probably be good pickups if he's out but the Grizz are just so coy about his status.

Not very optimist. I gave up today and dropped him (I picked Nwaba to see the next game).

The trades 100% help him, he's a clear must roster if he fits your build. Supposedly back game after next, though that's been said for a while now, no idea why so many people in this thread panicking and dropping
