Wendell Smallwood 2018 Outlook

It was RBBC WITH jay Ajayi. Why would anything change with him gone?

Not saying it would. Just pointing out that it will continue to be.

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman expects a Wendell Smallwood-Corey Clement "mix" Weej 6 against the Giants on Thursday night.

NJ.com's Mike Kaye expects the same thing but for it to "favor" Clement due to his "red-zone upside and receiving ability." Both backs have been good when given their chances this season, but we tend to also lean in preferring Clement to Smallwood. Both players need to be added in all formats.

Expectations for him with no Ajayi but Clement back tonight? FLEX appeal?

People seem to be all over Clement in his thread. He might have bigger upside appeal, but I like Smallwood to have a better floor. I'm leaning Smallwood as a FLEX.

I spent all my FAAB on him. How can I not start him?

Because his name is a euphemism for “micropenis”

As I've already stated in the Clement thread: Beware of Josh Adams!

No thanks

I'm not playing him, but hope he shows he could handle the load with Ajayi out. Think tonight could be the game where Philadelphia figures out who will get the bulk of the carries ROS.

Wendell has the advantage over Clement when it comes to pass catching, but that could be gone sooner than later pending on the return of Sproles.

Is there a clear advantage for Smallwood in the receiving game though? Looks like both catch between 3-5 balls each game.

To be honest, I am not the guy to ask. Just saw an article about the PHI RB situation saying Wendell was an "excellent" pass catcher whereas Clement was an "improving" pass catcher. So I could be wrong

I picked him up this week, but am sitting him for a wait-and-see period.

It's the Eagles, so I expect RBBC and it sounds like Smallwood is going to get the start (just on NFL network)

If Smallwood wants the job, it's his to take.

Hey may be in my flex given that info

Never flex a Thursday night player . Put him as a your rb if you’re playing him.
