Even if he'll have 22 mins (and I'm skeptical) it's not like last season
He'll play in the second unit with Jabari who is a usage monster
You can't keep compare with last season, everything is different
Now there are Carter, Markkanen is no more a rookie, also Lavine shoot a lot
Forget all the shots (and minutes) Portis had last season

No one saw this coming but sad to say, Jabari is out. No more usage monster. And Portis will see more than 22 minutes.

Parker is punished for what happened in last week rebellion
I don't know if he'll be out of rotation forever or if this coach keeps his job
of course the situation right now smiles to Portis

The only two names I saw that had a part in that is Holiday and Lavine, so I’m not sure you can pin that being the cause of Parker’s current situation.

No one saw this coming but

Uh he was playing ahead of Jabari before, I'm sure I'm not the only one that saw this coming.

How does his fantasy game compare to Jonathan Isaac?

totally different guys.  portis is a scorer and rebounder and takes quite a few threes.  he's solid on percentages but not great, and mediocre on stocks at best.

portis gets good value from being C/PF eligible as well.

Good points. Isaac does hit an occasional 3 but it is rarer plus his blocks though. They both are on WW. I will stream Portis for a week or two

So is he or will he be a drop candidate?

Do any of you trust Portis if they don't manage to get a big in return for Jabari?

droppable even with Jabari out of picture

he is getting into game shape.  Was out a while. Dunn seems to be forced into heavy minutes due to injuries since they both came back the same day.

Unless you play in shallow leagues, you’re one of the impatient owners I love to play against. Give the guy time to get his feet back under him. His coach has said he brings energy to the team that they lack. Should bring decent value when he’s back up to speed.

I thought we were in for another dud, so this was nice to see. I hope they take RoLo out of the rotation.

Should we expect his minutes to start ramping up?

It already is. And he's looking at even more minutes once his conditioning improves and when the bulls decide to sit lopez, just like last year.

Portis has been a hit or miss since coming back, but that's to be expected for a guy coming back from knee injury. Once he gets up to speed, id expect him to be more consistent. He's fully embraced the 6th man role that the bulls long advocated to him, and the bulls would be wise to integrate portis heavily into their plans now if they are to convince him to resign next summer.

Welp, he’s hurt again, like always, and with ingram and lavine, not sure i can hang onto him this time.  Time Lord, here I come!

2-4 weeks out.

Quote

An MRI confirmed a sprained right ankle for Bobby Portis and he's expected to miss the next 2-4 weeks of action.
