NFL Start/Sit Thread 2018 Week 6

This thread is for discussing who you're starting and/or sitting for week 6 of the 2018 NFL season.

Because most non-obvious start/sit decisions depend on roster/format/league-specific context, feel free to include any of these considerations in your start/sit questions. Comments along the lines of "Who's Starting Player A?", "I'm Starting Player B over Player C", etc. in player threads may be moved to this thread or removed, at the discretion of the RW forums staff.

I love Ridley's upside, too. But I played him last week, because I expected a big game from him and then it was Conner on my bench who score 32.

You always must start Conner every week.  Except when he is on bye.

That would be a good trade but most of the fantasy community foolishly believes Bell will return soon to take the RB job back from Conners.  So you will not be able to get more than scraps for Conner, unfortunately.

Odd man out is Ridley. I'm not too sure why's you ever sit any of those other studs?! They are studs, you don't play matchups with studs unless you are choosing between two studs. Ridley is good but he's not even in the same league right now with these guys.

Have B Cooks & C Godwin for 2 of 3 WR this week. MT & Golladay are on bye week. Start Hogan vs KC or drop him & pick up Chester Rogers, vs NYJ if TY is out?

Another option would be to possibly trade J Howard for K Allen or T Hill. Would leave me with the following RB: MG3, White, Carson, R Freeman. Thanks!

I like Ridley, but it's close. Sometimes AFC North games go from high scoring to a grinds, even though both teams have solid offenses.

Big Ben. Both should be high scoring, but I have more trust in Ben at this point.

Jeffery, Hines, Ridley. No issue with avoiding an "okay" offense vs the Rams.

Wow that's tough. No way at all to get all 3 in the lineup? I guess I'd lean towards sitting Sony because it's NE and there's a chance they don't use him as much as the other two are used, but really all 3 should have big nights.

Jeffery, Baldwin, Ridley, Brown, Sanu, Coutee. Baldwin is the guy I'm least confident in my rankings with. WR1 with a good matchup and a good QB. Biggest worry would be that they decide to run the ball all game.

Ekeler because I feel better about him playing a full game without getting hurt.

Clement has the best odds. Hyde would be my #2 option, but I just think there'll be more TD opportunities for PHI @ NYG than CLE vs LAC.

The problem with Baldwin is that he is a shell of his healthy self due to that balky knee.  Next year, if he gets physically back to 100%, he will rise back up in my rankings.

1. B Cooks
2. TY (only if healthy this week)
3. Hogan
4. Godwin
5. C. Rogers

So Cooks, Hogan, and Godwin looks fine to me.

I'd feel safer with Boyd. Ridley has the higher upside but I have a feeling Sanu will be the one with the big game. But that's not to say they both can't against TB.

Corey Clement I think would be the safest bet. Josh Gordon is intriguing for sure, and I'm going to assume his usage will increase significantly this week, just not sure how much. Also I'm fine with going either of Reed or Burton. So might as well just keep Reed in your lineup.

Need help for my #2 RB spot. 1point PPR. WHIR

I have Zeke at one RB. Who should I play at the other RB2 slot? I'm nervous to play Peterson because he was banged up and I'm always concerned that since he's really old the wheels could come off at any point. Also I'm concerned his injury could linger inhibiting his play. I was planning on starting Hines but then I heard Mack was back this week. I know Breida is hurt this week and so Morris should get the bulk of carries but SF offense has been so abysmal. I think the safe play is Morris this week and my fantasy platform predicted him to put up more stats. Any thoughts on which I should go with here? Thanks in advance for any responses.

- Nyheim Hines @NYJ
- Alfred Morris @GB

- A.Peterson @Car

RB slot: For me the limited amount of carries for both Ekeler and Jones are a huge negative for me. Even with a tough matchup, I'd go with McCoy here.

WR slot: Both of these matchups are going to be tough ones, but I'll take Sanders on this one just because he's been more consistent this year, is more familiar with the team's system, and has been playing football for the past few seasons (lol).

Good luck, help with my sit/start post in this thread if you can. Thanks

I'd go Ekeler. PPR beast and should be a good matchup.

I'd go Josh Gordon. I think that game's going to be high scoring and that his usage should be up. The Denver offense is only "okay" and they have to go up against the Rams, so I don't mind sitting Sanders.

I'd go AP is he's playing. If not, I think I'd go Hines. Morris' role should increase significantly, but he hasn't been good this year in his opportunities.

Ekeler over both for any PPR format

Sanders if you wanna be safe. And that's not to mention the end zone targets. High floor high-ish ceiling (obv not when compared to Gordon). I've been looking to buy everywhere.

Please help me decide who to start, I am 1-4 and really need to make sure I win this week. I have put my starters and their positions in bold.

Please let me know if you would play any of my bench people over my listed starters. I am mostly debating between Watkins and Robinson in my FLEX2 spot, but also have concern over whether Baldwin will bust again. Open to any and all suggestions, thanks in advance for your help.

0.3 PPR League

QB: Andrew Luck (QB), Mitch Trubisky

RB: Kareem Hunt (RB1), Lamar Miller (RB2), Sony Michel (FLEX1), Mark Ingram

WR: Julio Jones (WR1), Doug Baldwin (WR2), Sammy Watkins (FLEX2), Allen Robinson, TY Hilton

TE: George Kittle (TE), Austin Hooper

K: Brandon McManus, Josh Lambo (K)

DEF: Baltimore (DEF), New England

Thanks for mine. I like Boyd just cause of the high potential of a shootout. I feel that Cincy will have to stay on pace with Pitts which causes them to throw a lot. As a clear #2, I like Boyd's ceiling in this one.

12 team 0.5ppr

I’m thinking of going with Callaway against the LAC, I have a feeling he will have a big game (no Higgins) or should I start Hines (Mack is back) or Jeffery (Jenkins treatment)?
