Daily Faceoff, Rotowire, Rotoworld are my go-tos. All have starting goalies, line combos, ranks, injuries, news, etc. I usually use Daily Faceoff to look at line combos and starting goalies, Rotoworld for injuries or any significant news, and Rotowire for a quick snapshot of it all. For ranks I just use my Yahoo league, but also just use a lot of judgement. Hockey is a weird fantasy sport given it's not as high scoring as sports like football or basketball, which makes it more unpredictable. I generally like guys that perform well in what I like to call "secondary stats" like shots, hits, blocks, etc., as these tend to be a little more consistent. Then I look at how I'm able to address the "primary stats" (goals, assists, etc.) by looking at how good the team is someone is playing for, where they are in the lineup, who they are playing with, TOI, whether they play PP, PK, etc. Also depends on if it's a points league (which most daily leagues likely would be), cats league, etc. Anyway, the point is of the 4 sports I do fantasy leagues in (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL), hockey would be the one I rely on "expert" rankings the least because of how sensitive the projections can be and how drastically they differ based on scoring format. The best hockey players aren't necessary the best fantasy hockey players.
