Common sense. Team puts up 40 points and gets W. Did nothing to lose the job. How do you replace a starter after that?

If this is going to be his role going forward he’s a fine RB2/3 in PPR. Gonna need TD’s to stay in the conversation in standard.

So...in other words...none.  Thanks.

He even had a 2nd TD called back today that nobody seems to be mentioning

You replace him when your starter gets 26 yards on 13 carries and the "backup" runs circles around him.

Reid is a veteran coach, not a McCoy fantasy owner who overreacts off one game lol. If this becomes a weekly thing the next 2-3 weeks, then you might see some changes,

Well, at least some of the most ardent Williams supporters are coming around to the possibility that Williams could lose his job.

Progress.

Williams becomes even more important with the loss of Hill for weeks.

Post game press conference not very interesting.  Reid spoke about Mccoy and said he looked like he looked on tape before they got him.  Great vision, great feet.

When he acquired McCoy he made a comment that McCoy still "had it" in terms of quickness, cutting ability, etc. If he believes McCoy is not a diminished player, doesn't that mean McCoy is clearly the superior RB?

There should be enough for both to be viable top 20 RBs but if this continues I can see a Kamara/Ingram 2018 split in favor of McCoy. It is only one game but if Williams couldn't beat out Spencer Ware I am skeptical that he can beat McCoy.

Because, math

11/93 (8.5 yards/touch) > 19/65 (3.4 yards/touch)

Why would Reid settle for 3 yards a touch when he can get 8?

8 > 3

Things can change to the other side very easily next week. Williams did nothing to lose the job this game. If it aint broke you dont fix it. McCoy excelled in his backup role and they won with 40 on the board.

Williams was outplayed by McCoy. That won't necessarily mean a switch on the depth chart overnight but it does suggest giving McCoy a greater share of the load makes sense.

Williams outside of the KC system: 133 carries for 477 yards in 4 years (3.6 YPC) and 85 catches for 733 yards (8.6 YPR). It is true he looked good last year in KC, but so did Hunt and Ware before him. People forget Ware beasted against the tough Ravens defense before getting hurt.

Ill be looking for you in here next week...

McCoy looked like a stud today.. had he known more of the playbook im sure his touches would have went up... By week 3 ( unless Shady goes south) , shady will be geting more touches... D Williams did not run well.. his receptions were just fine; however, keep in mind Shady doesnt know the playbook and therefor most likely wasnt involved in any plays required RPO or designed passes.

Could be a fluke, but the eye test pointed HARD to shady..

I'm just happy Williams outscored McCoy today. I look forward to seeing the same thing next week versus Oakland.

His value may be at its highest right now. With some other RBs having down weeks, could be a good time to try to sell “high”...

Might send a trade offer to the Aaron Jones owner.

Y’all are nuts. Selling? He’s a 5th round guy in recent drafts that will easily give you premium flex value this season.

Except that Shady is a better back, even though he’s 31 and has only been in the building for a week. I was told that LeSean’s 3 YPC in Buffalo last year meant he was done. Who’s putting up Buffalo numbers now? 😂

Just rewatched both Shady's and William's carries today.

It's not even close.

Shady will be getting the bulk of carries very soon.

Im sure Andy Reid will immediately take this into consideration upon reading your prediction here.

Nah he already knows shady is better.  That's why he got him.

I dunno how your scoring works, but Damien nearly doubled up on McCoy in one of my leagues and had a healthy lead over him in the other....  AND Damien had a 2nd TD called back.

I'm delighted.  How about you?  Did you start McCoy - and if so, how'd that go for you?
