Anything ? Have seen no updates on him. Still holding in my DL spot but wondering if ankle injury will kill his SBs for the ROS.

Anderson (ankle) took batting practice and went through mobility drills, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anderson sustained a high-ankle sprain June 25 in Boston and was given a four-to-six week prognosis. He's looking at a return around the end of the July and will likely require a rehab assignment.

Wow... that’s amazing news. I hadn’t heard anything about his come back recently. Although he has slowed down significantly since his hot start, so I haven’t been as anxious about it as I would be if he was on fire when he went down.

There were some rumors about this guy possibly being back today. Not seeing anything as of now though.

edit: actually it looks like the Sun-Times has him coming off IL today.

It's September 8th and Tim Anderson is still sitting with a .334 batting average on the season; which - considering his skill set, plate approach, and general expectations - is simply incredible.

However, at the same time, oddly enough and just as incredible....

It's September 8th and Tim Anderson is still sitting on 16 stolen bases for the season; which means - and I'll have to check the game logs on this to verify - he hasn't bagged a base since, I believe, 'Nam

I nearly did a spit take when I saw his BA yesterday.

He's going to lead the league in hitting. Just nuts. Obvious BABIP assistance, but his xBA is still near .300. Shame he stopped running, but that kind of seems to be a Renteria mandate. Anderson and Moncada with 25 steals combined is ludicrous. Abreu doesn't like hitting with runners going, so that explain Moncada at least. It does make me worry about Madrigal and Robert's fantasy value next season if they get limited on the bases. If a guy like Anderson, who is rocking an 81% success rate over his career, can't get a full greenlight during a rebuild season...

But anyway, if this dude is a .280-20-20 guy going forward that's still really nice. The BA was the only thing really holding him back.
