Brett Lawrie 2019 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Signs with the Brewers.  Could be a good last pick of the draft kind of flyer.  Still only 29.

Brewers have an opening.  Good lineup.  Good ballpark.

Would be surprised to see him get more than 100 PAs in the majors. Not saying it won't happen, but it would certainly surprise me.

He's been out of baseball for 2 years. I'm assuming this is a minor league deal? I can't see him having an opportunity for regular ABs unless there's multiple injuries.

Yep just a minor league contract for depth.

I'd love to go back and see the Brett Lawrie 2012 outlook thread. He never topped his 2.6 WAR from his 43 games in 2011 in any other season

I kept him the next year thinking I'd struck gold. Ugh. I bit hard on him after that year.

He was Aldaberto Mondesi before Mondesi.

Although the hype for Lawrie in 2012 was so silly. He was going in the top 50 based off a solid 43 game sample.

Yeah I was reading up on sims and games and saw that listing for their covers and laughed like crazy too. They are like Maddon Football as in several of their cover boys fell off the cliff the following year.

Wonder if he still slams red bulls.  And 40s. I just remember a ground ball machine that played baseball like a frat boy on cocaine.  Be interesting to see if he's still got skills.

So pretty much exactly like Mondesi!
