heard nothing. he has been splitting more time at catching or at least at bats. (Cruz coming back fills up the DH spot). I got rid of him in weekly leagues. don't have time to get a fat zero.

3 for 5 with a homer and 3 RBIs. Im surprised at how little fanfare he's gotten. He's been a top 3 catcher in my league on a per game basis.

Doesn't matter. #6 catcher in my 5x5 OPS league despite playing half the time of a guy like Realmuto (#5). Only catcher with an OPS over 1.000. Being top 3 on a per game basis makes him very valuable.

I view him as a set it and forget it guy. Unless he goes on the IL, whatever playing time he gets will be top 5 catcher output. He’s ranked #4 for the season in my league.

total stud, love his swing and general approach.  susceptible to power guys with wipeout breaking stuff... but who isn't?
Has the bat to be playable at 1B, if he were.

One of the more underrated fantasy players in general. He hasn't just been good, he's been great.

Fine by me.  I'd rather take him playing 2x a week and actually producing than playing catcher-roulette, taking up another roster spot, and having some mope tank my average going 0/3 with a walk the other 4 nights.

That's just me, though.

Benched AGAIN despite being benched yesterday.  Tough to own in 12 teamers, despite his per-game excellence.

Yeah this is getting ridiculous, with his numbers how is he not the every day catcher? I believe his defense is pretty decent too.

They also bat him clean-up now.

Sitting again tonight. At this point hes a clear drop in standard 1 catcher leagues because his numbers have come down and he plays twice per week.

BTW, Jason Castro has a .140 Avg and a .450 OPS in his last 30 games so this is really difficult to understand.

Only explanations are:

1) still lingering effects from high ankle sprain and has ben catching their extra inning games lately.

2) They are flat out just saving him to catch every game during playoffs.

I'm still holding tho because nothing on the wire at C.

Yeah it's starting to look like they are babying him because of the sprained ankle and then the heel soreness issue.

I want to drop but just can't do it because he is such an excellent hitter and has great pop too, so frustrating to own though because of playing time.

Castro is an excellent defender.  Garver isn't much of a catcher.

He better be the best defender in the history of catching on earth to play this much with a .450 OPS in June.

Yea for a while it was ok but now this is ridiculous. I'm going to hold though because as soon as I drop himCastro would get hurt and Garver would play every day and somebody would have already scooped him up.

I’m only still holding because there is nobody worth picking up but yeah this is beyond frustrating.
