STUD. Adding him after he was dropped hehe.

He doesn't always sit against lefties, he just hits lower in the lineup.

Time to get him back in the lineup lol.

Wonder how many owners started him today after he was 0 for June coming in.

And he’s benched...

Not surprised against a LHP.  I think if owning him, it's best to utilize him as a strict platoon bat like Joc Pederson.

Idk he’s hitting 278 vs lefties. 742 ops. Sure he’s better power wise vs righties but that’s not that bad. He really has no business being a platoon player.

He’s not a platoon guy, much like Meadows. He’s usually dropped to 6th or 7th against leftys. I think today was just an opportunity to get him a day off especially against a very tough lefty in Boyd.

He’ll probably hit a pinch hit homer in the later innings.

He’s started 53/61 games I wouldn’t call that a platoon player. That’s 140 starts for a whole year

Some people on this site think that sitting out against some lefties is considered being in a full on platoon role.

Facing a lefty, and it's Matt Boyd, one of the top pitchers this year.

Even if he was starting i wouldn't put him in my lineup

Exactly.  In daily leagues sit him vs. stronger LHP.

I didn't mean Minnesota is platooning him per se, I meant as a fantasy owner you can platoon him vs. the better LHP (daily leagues with decent bench depth).

#6 overall past month

What's amazing is that this month includes a brutal 0fer stretch at the beginning of June, which he broke out of with a 3 HR game.

Geez, he's been amazing lately and solely responsible for today's win.   Not even starting but ends up going 3-5 with a walk, a game tying homer in the 13th and the game winning hit (would have been a double) later in the 17th.   Lots of surprise stories out there this year and Kapler is shaping up to be one of the best ones...

Who gets 5 ABs off the bench? I missed out on that one. Kid has been nuts lately.

actually sold Kepler short as he tied the game twice and then won it in the 17th.  Amazing game...
