LEAGUE CONSTITUTION:

  • The FIP Invitational is a 15 Team 5x5 Roto Auction draft with a $260 budget. We will be auctioning off the 23 active spots followed by a 7 round slow draft for the 7 bench spots. The order of the auction is randomly predetermined by the draft software. Based on the order, owners nominate a player and place an opening bid, bidding then continues until the highest bid is determined.

Bidding can only be made by owners with appropriate funds remaining (an owner with $5 remaining and needs 5 players can only bid $1 max.). Reserve players are part of the auction. The league's software will keep track of players/roster spots needed and available money left to spend.

    ROSTERS, SCORING, and LINEUPS:

After the draft is completed, starting lineups can be set in Fantrax. Once the season starts, all stats will be compiled by Fantrax software. Rosters must consist of: (2) Catcher, (1) First Base, (1) Second Base, (1) Shortstop, (1) Third Base, (1) Corner Infield (1B or 3B), (1) Middle Infield (any 2B or SS), (5) Outfielders, (1) Utility (any position), and (9) Pitchers (any combination of starters and relievers as long as cumulative innings pitched meets a minimum of 1000 innings). Rostered players eligible for the DL are designated by Fantrax and upon designation immediately becoming eligible for a DL slot. The 2 DL spots are not included as part of the 30 roster spots (actual roster limit including all 2 DL spots when filled could legally become 32). Owners are expected remove players from DL as soon as possible after players officially (per Fantrax) come off the DL. Team transactions will lock if a player is in a DL spot who is not officially on the DL anymore.

Scoring is based on a 5X5 rotisserie format, with starters accumulating stats in five offensive and five pitching categories. Offensive categories include (Runs), (HR's), (RBI's), (SB's) and (AVG). Pitching categories include (Wins), (K’s), (Saves), (ERA) and (WHIP). Only players in your starting lineup (23) earn stats. Stats are cumulative and translate to points in each category according to the rankings of teams in said category (i.e., in a 15 team league, the team with the most HR's in that category will receive 15 points, 2nd most receives 14 points, etc., etc.

Scoring periods begin on Monday and Friday, thus lineups can be set on a semi-weekly basis (Monday and Friday up to a minute prior to game time) and is the sole responsibility of team owners. Any illegal lineups for a specific period shall not accumulate any stats for that period. Extenuating circumstances will be considered.

    TRANSACTIONS:

Transactions include free agent pick-ups and players acquired via trade.

Free Agents: All players who are not drafted become free agents and eligible for bidding twice a week during the season (process runs every Monday morning at 3 am EST and Friday at 3 am EST). Teams begin with $1000 free agent budgets. Twice a week owners may bid on a player via the bid "process" by using the add/drop feature located in the "PLAYERS" menu. Bids start at $1 with the maximum only limited to the teams available budget remaining. The team with the highest bid wins the free agent. Ties go to a rolling list as determined by the Fantrax. Once a free agent is won, that player becomes eligible to start for the subsequent scoring period.

    TRADES:

Players are allowed to be traded from one team to another, without limitation to the frequency of trades until the designated trading deadline on July 31st. In rare cases where an owner believes there could be collusion, there is the ability to vote to have the trade vetoed. Only if we have 5 owners vote to veto will the Commissioner step in and look into possible collusion.

    FEES/PRIZES:

The Fees for the league total $100. All monies will be held in Fantrax Treasury and will be distributed during the first week of October.

Prizes are as follows:      1st PLACE:   $800
                                         2nd PLACE:  $400
                                          3rd PLACE:  $200
                                           4th PLACE:  $100

Is this CBS? I can't do daily, but weekly preferred. Although this league seems to be twice/week? If so, I'm itnerested. Thanks.
