Cleveland Browns 2019 Outlook

Recommended Posts

The league is on notice, and this is going to be one hell of an exciting ride.  Win, lose or draw.  So now that everyone's said what needs to be said, there's only one thing left to do.

John Dorsey seems like a good dude and he built a hell of a team with KC and has built a hell of a team in Cleveland. Had cajones to take Baker #1 overall, drafted Chubb, getting obj was just an absolute steal, has hired an awesome up and coming coach. Can't believe what he has done for that franchise.

Agreed on John Dorsey, with talent leagues ahead of Hard Knocks August '18, but oh the embarrassment when the Browns fall to 0-6 by Halloween.

Stupid offensive gameplan, awful offensive line that was not addressed properly in the offseason, way way to many penalties, outcoached, undisciplined. They bought into their hype, and played a team that isn't flashy, but execute their gameplan consistently. I'm a Browns homer btw. That was tough to watch. I expect them to adjust against an easier opponent in NYJ, but some of their issues aren't just going away. In particular the o-line

They lost both their left tackle and their defensive star. Who else did they lose? Dumb penalty and ejections. they need to fix their execution, so sloppy. rookie coach.

NYJ is not that much easier. I am worry until then. they might lose to them too

They needed this a** whoopin. The weaknesses this game showed them should better prepare them for the rest of the year. Pulling for you Brownies!

Only caught snippets of this game on the red zone.. How was the play calling?  Another week or two of this and we can take bets on who throws the first tantrum between Odell and Baker or whom ever else..

Bunch of arrogant losers... Can’t wait until Odell starts crying. Even as a Chubb owner I enjoyed watching this overrated bunch get smoked today.

How bad is this division?

Cleveland is 2-3 with one of their wins over the hapless Jets.  They have Seattle next then at New England.  Will likely be 2-5.

The Ravens are 3-2 but who have they beaten?  Worst team in the world Miami, fourth-worst team in the NFL Arizona, and terrible Pittsburgh with its 3rd team QB finishing the game.  Ugly.

Cincinnati is no better than the 30th best team in the league.  They are 0-5, but probably better than Washington and definitely better than Miami, which is the worst team since the expansion Bucs.

Pittsburgh is 1-4 with their only win over Cincy.  I put out the call for them to tank weeks ago.

Now Cleveland at 2-5 will claim they can still win the division, and maybe they can, but all four of these teams should look themselves in the mirror and realize they are pretenders.  It'll be interesting to see what a 2-5 Cleveland team would look like with divas like Beckham going nuts while Mayfield is grabbing his crotch after a TD pass (a/k/a once every other game).

The Browns have done a lot of talking this season (and leading up to it) but not a lot of walking.  They're 2-4 with a trip to New England coming up next.  Absolutely brutal.

Just nauseating to watch this team.  From the play-calling/coaching, to Baker's massive regression, to the defense not tackling - just a disaster on every level.

Why not fire Freddie Kitchens now (instead of waiting after the season) to see if Monken can do something with this offense, which has a bunch of very talented pieces in place.

Now we know why OBJ was so upset with his trade to the Brownies. To the rest of us, it was great trade for him at the time, going to a better offense, young QB with a better arm than Eli.

He knew...

All those years of having great lines and no skills guys, now the shoe is on the other foot and it's the same result, they're just trendier.
