I wonder he is their starter. If so, what do they do with Urias?

They wouldn’t have burned the extra year of service if he was going to rot on their bench. Imagine he gets pretty much full time at bats. A lot of swing in miss in his game but exciting nonetheless

Where do you guys protect him to bat? Should he be a regular?

Roster Resource has him batting 7th.

I wonder if Manny calling for Tatis to start a few days ago had anything to do with this?

Will be fun to watch, but I see him being a non-factor except in deep leagues.

Dude...you’re totally harshing my buzz.

I could be wrong. But I see athletic, young toolsy specimen with serious swing and miss issues and get Moncada flashbacks. Someone will reach for him in every league (that's not yet drafted), and it isn't going to be me :)

AA 2018 -- 394 PA's, 109 K's / 33 BB's. This doesn't alarm anyone? I think this was not the smartest of moves for the Padres.

now in 2017 in single A he had 75 BB's / 124 K's in 518 PA's but in that same 2017 as soon as he got to AA he had a horrible 2 BB's / 17 K's in 57 PA's and it carrried over into 2018.

The HR/SB threat is there but could this be a Tim Anderson type dude?

Could be moncada, could be Anderson, could be Arcia....who knows? Things happen.  I remember not picking up Trea Turner because of all the “he’s alvis andrus” (pre 2017 version) talk.  I wouldn’t reach in a draft to be sure, but I’d add if its a replaceable piece for sure.

Way way more power and physically gifted then Tim Anderson.

People are drafting Mondesi in the 3rd/4th round despite major question's about his hit tool. Granted he doesn't have his SB Floor/projection.

Its almost like I don't recognize them.

The rotation is going to be sneaky good this year (like average but was projected to be one of the worst)

Yea I mean it's always worth a flier when a guy has HR/SB combo. Especially roto leagues. Just saying the expectations should be tempered when it comes to OBP and OPS and AVG with those alarming K/BB ratio's vs AA pitching.
