Matt Boyd 2019 Outlook

Wow we could be looking at a legit ace breakout here. Hes a monster.

Makes the David Price trade from the Jays look bad, especially if Norris ever figures it out.

his BIGGEST test of the year so far today...scared to death to start him in my roto league...lol

I mentioned in the game day thread that Houston is not so great versus lefties this year. They rank 21st. Plus no way i bench with two starts in my weekly.

I share similar concerns. But I've learned over the years that when good pitchers have their good stuff, the opponent doesn't matter all that much. And vice versa. So I'm rolling him out there and hope he has his REALLY good stuff.

Another tough matchup for Boyd today. A’s have the 4th highest wRC+ against and second lowest k%.

Is he Tuesday/Sunday or Tuesday/Monday? Anybody know for sure?

ESPN doesn't have Boyd scheduled on Sunday. This Thursday and next Monday the Tigers are off. My Guess would be Tuesday/Tuesday.

Rough matchup for my boy, Matt Boyd today.

Against lefties Twins are 1st in OPS (.873), 2nd in wRC+ (130), and 24th in k% (20.0).

As an owner of boyd and Caleb Smith, I am as worried about tonight as I was for Caleb last night, not sure if I will run Matty out there tonight or not..lol

You guys tinker too much.  I get the apprehension and I guess it would really depend on what other options I had, but Boyd has been terrific all year so I can't see taking him out of my lineup.  He's a set it and forget it QS machine that gives up very few free passes and like 1 hit per inning.

Boyd is currently sporting the 6th best K-BB% in baseball. Who is ahead of him? Cole, Sale, Scherzer, Verlander, and Snell. Boyd is elite.

Tigers mentioned no one is off limits, including Boyd, in reference to the trade deadline. Not much to look into is what I figure, but I thought I would at least pass it along. I read about it on mlbtraderumors
