Thanks, I couldn't use that 3 run shot. Nope couldn't use that at all.

Are you even watching the game?  Sure doesn't sound like you saw the play.

The fan blew it. If the fan sits back and lets the ball land it’s a HR.

Since he reached out, its interference and an out.

No way Gordon catches that. Close but no.

I'm only listening to it and can't see if it was interference, but even the Yankee announcers seemed like it might be interference when they were watching the replay but before the official call.

The Yankees announcers were complete idiots on their analysis of this play.  They were babbling about how it looked like it was interference and then he gets called out and they were both completely shocked.

There was zero interference.  Ball was going into the seats.  Gordon gave his best effort and jumped too early, it was well over his glove.

the fans interfered with the play by reaching over the fence (and also making contact with the glove).  not sure what youre not understanding about the situation.

Agree but again the fan reached too much. I don’t like the call because to me it was an obvious HR that Gordon couldn’t have caught.

I don't know what they were actually trying to accomplish, but it felt like they were pandering to the fans and soften the blow by saying maybe, it might be, I don't know, etc, instead of just flat out ripping the heart out and saying yeah, that was interference. But they didn't seem genuinely shocked.

Fans know better. Or at least they should. You move out of the way unless the ball is so clearly out of play there's zero question about it. That said, it's not like the fan has long to think about it and I can understand reactions kicking in immediately before you can fully process what's happening.

Frazier showing that power off, even though according to some in his thread he's got very little!

I don't really blame the fan.  I don't think he really reached over, not much anyway.  But yea in hindsight you want the dope to let it go as Gordon was not touching that ball either way.

Dear Mr. Brown

Your Yankee love affair is more than admirable sir but you can't expect every single call.
