This day in MLB history: 20 yrs ago Fernando Tatis hits 2 GSHRs in the same inning...off the same pitcher

Jr. needs to follow that up tonight with the same thing!

It’s 2019 and David freese is batting 3rd in an MLB lineup

Sounds like they are really valuing the bvp data - Freese has a .571 OBP vs Quintana

Always a chance he recaptures that magic from 2011. 🙄

Why is this being mocked? OPS of .872 this year, .830 in 280 ABs last year. The guy can still kill LHP

Starting Homer Bailey tonight across multiple leagues against one of the top 5 offenses in baseball. What could go wrong?

It's funny to compare his numbers right now against 2016 - same IP, same W, same K, same BB.

He's the same guy as he was in 2016 (which is not a good thing).

Anyone considering starting Zach Davies @ STL? His numbers are pretty good this season but he's only made it past the 6th inning once.

I watch a lot of baseball and I don’t remember ever seeing Sonny Gray look this good. His stuff looks filthy. I seriously undervalued him on draft days this year.

I guess he was right about NYY screwing him.

I was just about to point that out. He looks elite right now. What is going on? I know he used to be really, really good in Oakland, but he was still never a huge strike out guy. Right now he is making hitters look foolish.

Got injured covering first. He came up hobbled after a mini collision. It was just a graze. I have to believe that it is precautionary unless he caught a spike that I missed. I can't envision him missing time for this.

Why they pull Carasco???

Sounds like he collided with Neil walker covering first in the past inning. Don’t know what or anything but I’ve heard guesses that it’s his lower half/legs

Except the whole, pitching differently in a different league, different home ball park and different defense.

It was an awkward play all around. Santana booted a hard one-hopper and had to turn and throw on a spin to a moving target. He threw wide and Carrasco went out to get it. He didn't and Neil Walker was on him at the bag. Kudo's to Walker, because he did everything possible to avoid a bad collision. Official word here is "left knee discomfort".
