What's he pacing for, 25-20 over a full season?

Pretty much.  He's played 27 games right now, so this would be the easiest time to figure it out as you can just multiply everything by 6 (just pointing it out).

Right now his pace for a 162 game season would be 24 HRs, 78 RBIs, 132 Runs, and 24 SBs.  Throw in 36 Doubles and everything looks great outside of the 132 K's.

And I don't think many people would have figured that when going over all the prospects that had a shot of getting called up this season.

Well, it’s Cleveland and Lebron left, so yeah. Browns are all the rage in  a paradoxical conundrum, so... 🤯

Reminds me of Hunter Pence with more speed.

Now with a 5 game hit streak...

10/22   7R  1HR  5RBI  4SB

Game looks like it is slowing down for him a little.

so this kid is staying in the 2 hole?  if so i am more interested

i would assume so. Probably the Indians 2nd best hitter behind Lindor at the moment. And with Lindor locked in at leadoff, Mercado has all the speed and hit tool you'd want in a #2 hitter.

He's walked twice in the last 10 days.  I'm staying cautious.  Picked himup because I need the speed.  But I'm not expecting this to continue.

He ran double digit walk rates at AAA the last two years. Think he'll be fine in that regard.

I don't see any reason why not? The speed is real, the hit tool is real, the power is real, 20/20.

What's his ceiling over the course of a full season guys? I picked him up as an upside gamble and want to know what kind of lottery pick I'm dealing with

You actually see this a little bit for guys that are hot.. I'm expecting the walks to come in bunches the next week or so.

Kinda hard to walk when you've raking with so many hits.

@B&F already made the excellent Pence comparison.  Mallex doesn't touch Mercado's power.

Mercado is slower a tad but more power.

20/20 sounds cool but this kid is definitely more of a 15/30 type of threat. Basically what Buxton was supposed to be. Thats even more valuable in todays power crazed world.

Honestly even if he hit 0 homers and was Mallex Smith, Id still want him for all the contributions elsewhere.

Starting to get very excited about this kid.

Cleveland runs a fair bit so I am going to say a 15 homer/35 stolen base year is a possible outcome.   His value would really increase if he hits .300 and takes some walks as well.  I recall Altuve had a monster year in 2015 with those kind of power stolen/base numbers.   Of course he hit like .340 so that's extreme upside...
