I select Leonard Fournette, RB JAX

80% of his OL was in shambles, with prized FA G Norwell playing hurt most of the year + LT + C injuries.

Injury risk is real, but I'll gladly take this guy behind what should be a much better OL with competent QB play having a positive effect on the offense/defense as a whole. Leonard Fournette, perfectly rounding out my "Recency Bias All-Stars" RB tandem. His per quarter touches were on par with his rookie season, with an increased involvement in the passing game. His schedule is also quite lovely, especially around playoff time.

@Br0kenB selects Antonio Brown, WR

Judging by Doc's reaction, I am guessing one of these two (or maybe even both) was a snipe.

@FFCollusion OTC, @DocJ On-deck

I was surprised Fournette was still in play for me this late in the 2nd....

@FFCollusion OTC ... Fournette/AB off the board

Do you have Br0kenB's picks for rds 3/4? Because i'm guessing this could move pretty quickly. Everyone's here.

Fournette is definitely slipping this year...
The injury thing is real, but he is elite when right...

Since I didn't do it for Bell:

With the 7th Pick in the 2019 Rotoworld Mock Real League, Zidane Valor selects:

Le'Veon Bell, RB, New York Jets
Zidane's 2019 Ranking: 6th RB, 7th Overall

2018 Statistics

Workload Management.

2019 Projection
272 rushes, 1170 rushing yards (4.3 YPC), 8 TDs
64 receptions, 512 receiving yards (8.0 YPR), 2 TDs
258.2 fantasy points

Short of injury, I don't think there's anything on the Jets to stop Bell from being a true workhorse.  I don't think there's any threat to his reps when healthy.

Maybe too many receptions, but 336 touches would match his 2016 campaign of only 12 games and be lower than 2014 and 2017.

I was going rouge if Fournette was off the board ...

These days I'm terrified to say anything remotely critical of people's "preferred" players, but since i'm comfortable around you guys, i'll have a little nudge:

Why is Fournette elite?

He averaged over 4 yards a carry, in what...6 games in the NFL? How many big plays does he make? And this is before you consider the fact that his body hasn't really held up under the workload. So far, his NFL career hasn't come close to justifying the hype, and he keeps getting plenty of hype - for no reason whatsoever. In most games, he's plodding away at a blue collar 3.5 yards a carry, which is a million miles away from elite.

It's not like Jacksonville can boast of a balanced offense and a strong offensive line either, there haven't been any major changes that could make you feel optimistic.

Sell me on Fournette, guys.

Fournette sucks... can't believe he went so early... 🙄

Just kidding... I think I just see the unrealized potential with him.
Such a stud coming out of college, and I guess I'm still clinging on to that

I feel the same way.

I have Fournette ranked as my RB14 and 28th overall, and that's purely due to potential workload if healthy.  I'm not high on him at all.

Fournette for me is purely workload, if he can stay healthy it will be high. Also their OL is supposedly all healthy again, won't be anywhere close to as bad as last season.

That's fair. He was a beast in college.

Basically held my breathe the entire time ... DJ + Fournette, yes please.

Just to be clear:

    You would in fact have drafted Henry before Fournette?

Thanking you in advance, I am

Adam Gase is the coach of the Jets.

If you were looking for something to stand in the way, that would be it.

They drafted a lineman 2nd round. Still an average unit when healthy, but they haven't had any continuity, which is a big factor in offensive line play. Then there's the issue of depth, which is significant when you remember how some of those linemen can't make it through a full season.

Their QB and WRs still aren't respectable, so Fournette will see a lot more 8 man boxes.

Brief analysis on my picks.

Barkley - The decision was pretty much made for me when CMC went #1.  I don't think you can go wrong with any of the top 4 (barring off-field stuff for Zeke), but I just feel like Barkley is a safe bet.  Was lauded as a generational talent coming out, and didn't really disappoint on a terrible team last season in his rookie year.  With an improved O-line and zero competition behind him, the sky is the limit.  He is a three-down workhorse, and even without OBJ I think they have enough receivers to at least keep defenses from stacking the box.  Always nervous taking someone with so little history, but I think this is about as safe a bet as any.

Williams - Would have preferred to go WR here, but not overly excited about the ones who were left.  Debated a few RBs, and ultimately want to take the Chiefs starting RB.  SSS last season and Carlos Hyde give me a little hesitation, but I still think Reid will commit more to one RB, and Williams looked great when given the reigns last season.  This pick could definitely come back to haunt me, but I feel like I should definitely get some good production from the RB position this year.

I think it's too early to say.  If Foles along with Westbrook and DJ Chark can keep defenses honest on the deep ball, it could open up a lot for Fournette.
