Better question:  UT only next year?

He has 4 starts in the OF already, so for people who play on Yahoo, he should be able to keep his OF eligibility for next season easily.  Even for others that only need 10 (ESPN?), he had a chance to keep it there too.

That's going to suck when I lose my league by 3 tenths of a HR...

You need 20 on ESPN for following year eligibility.

Unfortunately I think it will be a longshot for him to get that.  Even so, he still has plenty of value regardless of his eligibility.

Agree.  HR rate is unsustainable I think but even to a more manageable rate, value is there.  Astros are interesting in that they are willing to give up some productivity for team continuity but you wonder how long that will last.

Yordan gets his 5th start in the OF today to retain eligibility for next season on Yahoo.

Now hit a HR for us...

Agreed on the 2nd point.  Time to put one in the seats.

I don't see it happening.  Said as CBS owner.

Buy one Yordong, get one free tonight.

Also wanted to give a special thanks to Brett Martin for being dumb enough to throw a 95 MPH fastball right down the middle to Alvarez for his 2nd HR...

.363/.433/.768 through 80 ABs. Unless I'm mistaken that 1.201 OPS would lead the majors correct (although admittedly in a small sample size).

Both lasers to center. But he’s like 22 years old and runs like he’s 40. 🤔

I regret not picking this guy up early. Need to establish dominance against 3rd seed to feel good about getting a bye week. He has this cat. Be careful though, rookies are wildcards. Remember how great Brett lawrie was on call up, and how bad Trout was.

I don't really think this is comparable to Lawrie (or Trout for that matter) at all... not at all relative.

If you hit on a rookie in his first two months. If you trade you will win the trade the vast majority of the time if you go for a top 75 player. You have just gained value relevant to a waiver wire addition. It is very relevant, don't be so obtuse. Need I mention streaky baseball and sophomore slumps/books.

And if the player can provide top-75 value the ROS? Coupled with what Yordan was doing at Round Rock, in Houston's lineup, in a juiced ball era... comparing him to Lawrie is not in the same ballpark--sorry. Their pedigree isn't even close to one another's/

We all run like we’re 40 when all we have to do is trot around the bases.
