Called up today and inserted into liineup straight away.

I think calling him a potential league winner might be a stretch.  He played in the PCL and still only hit .262 with a .335 OBP, but at least for this week he could be an interesting flier since they are in Coors all week.

Rockies play 14 of their next 20 at home. He has hit 35 home runs so far this year. I think you take a chance on him.

David Dahl might be back on Monday.

Another dinger tonight. His profile reminds me a bit of Franmil Reyes (w/ more speed).

I would give him a shot with a couple more righties this weekend.

"Hilliard was raking in the offense-friendly Pacific Coast League but he's endeavoring to show the performance wasn't enhanced by any environmental factors. He's worth taking a flyer on given what we've seen in a limited sample, and what he did in the minors this year."

So he is proving environmental factors didnt enhance his performance by homering @ Coors?? 🤔

"league winner" is quite a stretch. He may end up being useful if you can catch him on a hot streak though.

I’m just now finding out about this guy... does he have that much power? He doesn’t look as hulking as Franmil. But better ballpark for sure

He has power and he can run. Plays at Coors. Good enough for me.

One writer estimated he has 36 HR power over 650 PAs.

His power is real especially when considering the ballpark he plays in. His minor league HR spray chart tells me he hits homers to all fields so that should help out.

He's definitely not as hulking as the Franimal (same height) but their minor league profiles are somewhat alike. Hilliard playing in Coors is a massive massive +

2017 Reyes: .258/.322/.464, 8.5% BB, 23.7% K

2019 Hillard: .262/.335/.558, 9.7% BB, 29.3% K

Hillard gets a slight AAA juiced ball bonus on his numbers.
