No way I'm taking Turner that high. Not with how often he gets injured.

Are you mocking? If so, Do you actually have a rebuttal?

Nfbc message board.  I don’t think there is a way to follow unless someone starts tweeting the results.  I *think* Paul sporer is in it.

My rebuttal: people get HBP. It happens, I get it, not his fault. I rather someone who wont miss half of the season (if you're lucky 40 games) everytime it does happen. My fantasy team doesn't care if it's his fault or not. I need my 1st rounder getting me points on a regular basis.

He doesnt get HBP at a very high rate. Unfortunately for him, it has resulted in hand/finger breaks 2 of the last 3 years.

The point is that these injuries are not predictive of anything. It's bad luck. A soft-tissue may be indicative of injury-proneness, not this.

You need your first rounder to play and accumulate value, I get it. But there is no evidence to suggest that Turner is any more of a risk than other first-rounders to miss time next year.

If this was true, he'd get hit at a higher rate than others.  The numbers show he doesn't.

Regarding trea Turner: he just doesn’t seem “safe” to me.  I’ll pretty much never own him because I have him at 14 right now.  There is pretty much zero chance 11 other guys will have him lower.  That doesn’t mean I’m right or wrong, it’s just my preference.  Steals are so finicky, they seem to just disappear for some players regardless of age.  Bergman, altuve and trout come to mind.  Turner himself was seemingly a “60” guy, now he’s a “45” guy.  What’s next? A “30” guy? Great player, possible league winner.  Just not for me.  Can’t fault a guy for having him top 5.  Not here to rag on guys for liking him, I guess what I’m saying is that he’ll be one of the hardest guys to predict adp as it should fluctuate big time from draft to draft.

I'm fairness a 45 guy in 2019 is the equivalent of a 60+ guy 4+ years ago

18th Overall on ESPN 5X5 this year despite missing 40 games. That isn't bad when you consider a 1st round of any draft is extremely hitter heavy and he was 10th among said hitters.

Yuli guriel in round 2 is bananas. Don't think I'd take him in round 2 in a 2019 draft if I had a time machine.

Why?  How can anyone possibly justify taking Yuli ahead of him??

I don’t know.  Guy who took Yuli also took bregman.  Maybe he’s an Astros fan?  I don’t have an answer as to why Rendon dropped.  It’s the first draft.  There will be mistakes.

While we’re at it, tatis seems insanely high (albeit not as bad as guriel)  for a guy that outperformed peripherals, has shown signs of getting injured easily and recovering slowly and playing a stacked position with a pretty unfavorable team context.
