Keep an eye on this kid. Because he's the goat. No kind of explanation or analysis needed. The next Miami Heat legend. #AHerroWeAllNeed

Well he plays for a Florida team, so I think you're right.

They're both humans of similar complexion.

This guy vs. D. Jones Jr.

Who is your pick? Very different players.

I think Herro will be limited in rotation for being a rookie.

Jones Jr. could take the next step with more minutes.

Herro will be a good streaming option this year

I don't think it's a realistic comparison at all, but Kentucky players lately have had a thing for being better in the NBA than they were in college.

Herro and it's not even close.  Don't get me wrong I love Derrick Jones and would take him if he were guaranteed a 25-30 min / night role.  But Herro's got offensive skills that Jones could never develop in 5 lifetimes (you could also say Jones has defensive skills and athletic ability Herro will never develop in 5 lifetimes).  I think Herro gets more minutes, and can do more in the minutes he has as a microwave option off the bench.  I would expect some big outbursts with big duds.  Too volatile for me.

I would only take a flier on Jones in a super deep dynasty league, or if a bunch of injuries hit...Dragic, Winslow, Waiters, Jim Johnson, should all be off the team in about 1-2 years...then its Derrick Jones Jr party time lol.

He'll be a consistent 3PT streamer option this year. His game is a little too specialised to be a fantasy beast, but he will be a very active on the waiver wire.  I see his career as something along the lines of Anthony Morrow or Kyle Korver.  I think his ceiling would be a JJ redick type.

I feel like this is really undervaluing Herro. Did you see him play? His ability to create his own shot and his bag of tricks is already better than pure spot-up guys like Korver and Reddick. He has flashes of some solid playmaking too.

I just posted the exact same thing on Herro in another thread.  Dude is a straight baller!  Elite footwork and moves / counter moves to get his shot off.

He is in between Zach Lavine and Jordan Clarkson.

If spo isn't his coach might consider him. Spo just totally has a man crush on waiters which would limit Herro's minutes

Yes he saw him play, and that is why he's currently experiencing remorse that he doesn't have him on any teams.

Kid is really really good but the backcourt is too stacked, and his defense is just subpar at the moment. Not sure there's enough space for him to carve out a significative role, unless he totally breaks out and forces Spo to play him

Having ankle issues over the years does not translate 'bum' lol. He's Mr. 30-11. Plus he's finally in game shape again and ready to give his services.
