Moritz Wagner 2019-2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

3 very good games in a row:

5/14 5/7 4 rebs 1 ast 16 pts 24 mins

9/10 1/1 4 rebs 3 asts 1 stl 21 pts 21 mins

4/7 8/8 4 rebs 1 ast  2 stls 18 pts. 24 mins

With so many injuries at SF spot for Wizards, i see very good chance Hachimura to start the season at SF and Wagner at PF. Nice option for last 2 rounds of the draft.

Mo can produce in bunches if given enough minutes on the floor as we've seen during the preseason. Wizards are on a rebuild mode and may prioritize minutes to younger guys like Mo this season.

Got him as my last pick.

Is he worth rostering in a 12 man as your last pick ???

He’s played really well in all of his preseason games.

He's a great lotto ticket so I'd say sure if you like him. If he gets the PT he can be quite useful. I think coach said he'd play next to Bryant or Bertans so he seems to have his confidence.

What do you think how many minutes he will play on an nightly basis until everbody is healthy ?

Will he Backup Thomas Bryant and althought get minutes at the 4 ?

Should I gamble on Mo over Hezonja to begin the season?

🤔

I wouldn't.

Hmm... That's how I feel when adding him. Filling out that final bench spot is always a struggle.

20 Man league.

I have PJ Washington, Devonte Graham.. at the end of the bench. Dropped Mckinnie ended up picking up Mo. He works out better scheduling for me this week.

Hezonja is still available on FA. I'll keep an eye on him.

He looks good. The minutes on the other hand is a different story.

Any news about Mos chance of being a part of the wizards rotation this season? Considering dropping Devonte Graham for him in a 16 man league..

I would definitely roster him in a 16 teamer. He's should produce in 2 spots. Hachimura isn't always going to play PF, I can see him sliding to SF as well. Moritz has been arguably their most impressive player, I'm watching him take legit players off the face up with an array of spin moves and post moves, he's hitting threes, showing off handles, I really didn't know his ceiling, but he looks like a really solid player. He isn't on 12 team radar unless he jumps over Bertans and becomes a PF starter potentially, but in a 16 man I would easily take a flier and see what happens.

No one is mentioning hmmm..

Mins aren't there yet. Good potential but limited upside with those minutes

His season average is pretty ridiculous...

hes a near 1 1 1 PF with 62 percent and 85 FT and 11/4+ avg, that’s wild...and in only 20 to 21 min, fantastic value for teams lacking a bench big.

Like a lot of talented big men that ostensibly should get more playing time, Moe fouls too much to stay on the floor.

Yeah man also turns it over alot.

I'm trying to ease the blow of dropping Moe lol. Hopefully Goga drops 25 tonight and gets some minutes when the starters come back

This dude can ball, he keeps being pretty solid in such limited mins while Hachimuras been terrible after his decent hot start. All Hachimura does is score while Wagner does that and play some defense. Wonder why they arent giving him the minutes he deserves.
