Terrence Ross 2019-2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

dude had a career year last season .. any chance he picks up where he left off?

i guess he’s more of a 3 point specialist, but i took him in the later rounds (11th, 127 overall) off the strength that i remember him beasting towards the end of last year.

what are some of yalls projections?

I think he’s going to be a little better than last year because he’s never really been unleashed. Granted his profile is pretty basic, a three point specialist, and he is capped by that role.  But he’s an absolutely electric scorer who I’ve seen on multiple occasions hit a shot within twenty seconds of hitting the floor and score 7 points in like two minutes. Has no fear and isn’t just a catch and shoot guy, can create for himself, which is huge for a 6th man.  He also has some helpful periphery, gets over a steal per game, almost a 90% foul shooter, really low TO for his usage bc he gets the ball out of his hands so quickly.  I think 18 points, 3 threes with a steal is achievable.  No assists bc he never looks to pass. 41/89 efficiency, sub 1.5 TO.  I think he has a chance at Top 75 and is a lock for top 100.

Oh, he can.  Whether or not he does is a different story.

I got him at 118 so top 75 would be nice. I also picked him up bc I remember him balling towards the end of last year. One of my fav FA pickups.

I expect Ross should be able to at a minimum duplicate last years numbers. Ross should have a similar role as last year. He doesnt seems insane playing time to help contribute in points, threes and a few steals. There should be plenty of playing time.

He'll hit some 3's and score a bit, nothing exciting to see here, fine for end of bench if that's what you need.

Based on today. better drop him and get coby white.

He'll come good guys. Give it a little time. Seriously who is their scoring power off the bench? He'll get buckets

Not to mention T. Ross is kinda streaky. Like Stifle said earlier in the thread, he's the kind of guy that can drop 7-9 points in the span of 2 minutes. So you gotta take the good with the bad and enjoy the larger samples with him.

Ultimately he should be worth it as a cheap source of 3PM/PTS/STL, with upside to improve on last year's numbers too.

Remember last year, he didn't really start to take off until Isaac started to underperform more and more. Isaac didn't start the year off that great either.

Starting to see signs of life? Hope he keeps it up, Aminu got knocked out of the rotation

Aminu has nothing to do with Ross, Ross is the 6th man clear as day just needs to get going, nobody threatening his minutes as the instant offense guy off the bench
