Bruce Brown Jr. 2019-2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Boy, this guy is intriguing both in the eye test and fantasy stats!

With Rose on the shelf with hamstring injury, this guy is ready to produce!

Thoughts?

Was listening to the local Pistons broadcast and they’ve made mention to the fact that Brown may be in the starting spot longer than expected, or something to that effect.

I added, a coach like Casey loves this type of player; I think he’s solidified a legit rotation spot even after Rose returns.

I'd easily drop Bacon for B Brown Jr.

Thybulle is still a great end of bench guy who will lock up steals and blocks for you, if you need those cats.

I like his game but don't see him getting enough play when Blake, R Jax, and Rose are healthy.

I don’t trust Casey, and once Blake is back he and Drummond just eat so much usage that no one else on the Pistons churns value. They’ve been a fantasy wasteland for years..

some nice stats but be prepared that this ride could end at any point.

He could be the starter for a full month. RJax is out for 4 weeks, minimum. Rose can't start because his body can't handle it.

He has weaknesses (can't shoot the 3-ball) but looks comfy out there. Just run P/R with Dre all day and you can rack up assists. I don't see Blake's return hurting him in any way. Assists, steals, and surprising blocks in the last two games. You want this guy passing, not shooting.

They would love to start this kid at PG, which is why they played him at PG in the Summer (where he averaged 8.25 assists).

Can we get some PG eligibility in Yahoo?  Simmons went down and the only other PG I have playing tomorrow is Brown, but he only has SG designation despite starting the past 3 games as PG...

Think they need 5 games played for eligibility

Bruce Brown is 23, and was being groomed for PG over the summer. Frazier is a 29-year-old backup journeyman on a 1-year contract. Brown in the last 3 games has been better than what Frazier was as a starter. Frazier could well have lost the starting job.

In these 3 games with BB starting, they've won 2 of 3, including a win over Kyrie and Brooklyn. He has been #83 overall in 8-cat in these 3 games.

His shot has issues, but he is a decent passer passing to the best p/r and lob receiver in basketball.

Anyone thinking time to drop with Blake returning Monday as well as the possibility of Rose and Frazier?

Gotta wait to see if Baby Shark sticks as the starter.

If he stays the starter, what kind of projections do we see him having playing alongside of Blake?

Rose is returning too, I'd say bleak

Steals and assists specialist. Maybe some Marcus Smart type lines.

I think they will be pretty careful playing Rose. Same with Blake. So I think he still gets major minutes.

Derrick Rose (hamstring), Luke Kennard, Tony Snell, Blake Griffin (knee, hamstring) and Andre Drummond will be in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Timberwolves.

Wow, bumped to the bench as soon as Rose returns.  Gonna be tough for him to find 20mpg I’d assume but let’s see how the minutes are allocated tonight

He's gotten 13 min in the 1rst half to Rose's 10. But he only taken 1 shot, with 2 TO's and no other stats.

If you guys act fast you can hop off the Brown train in time for the CoJo train with Fox out at least 3 weeks

Getting decent minutes in a starting gig lately. Detroit miss anyone or something? Seems to provide decent boards and dimes on ocassion with stocks. I think I will waive Aaron Holiday (who was nothing but great even today but the minutes drop significantly with Brogdon back) and pick him up.
