So is this dude going to stick when Ibaka gets back? Doubt there'll be enough minutes for him to feed.

Boucher had arguably one of the best blocks of the season when he stifled a driving Montrezl Harrell dunk attempt (link below). With Serge Ibaka (ankle) out indefinitely and Boucher proving that his per-minute upside is no fluke, he's a strong add if he's somehow still available in your league.

Rotoworld still trying to make up for the previous blurb 🧐

Maybe a Marc Gasol trade is looming.

Just ride him until Ibaka comes back (no timetable yet). Then hold for a couple of games to see if his minutes stick. I personally don’t see him getting over 10-12 minutes when full raps frontcourt healthy.

Will they be healthy is the question. Ibaka had a severe ankle sprain... if its a grade 3 i don't think we'll see him back to full strength this year. If thats the case what ibaka was doing boucher will have the opportunity to do (14 7 1.3) and maybe better stock potential. That's a top 100 player and a must own in 12 teamers.

Lots of talk about opportunity, but could someone talk about the caveats? Even if he gets 20 minutes per game role, are there any threats? What can go wrong for him? Foul trouble? Shooting woes? Foul trouble? What are his weaknesses?

He was in foul trouble even though he played well.

The most obvious issue with Boucher is his frame. He is thin and needs to gain some muscle. Playing in the G league last year, he was shooting around 30% on three's, so if he can get that to around 35% that would be useful.

You have to grab him and let the future take care of itself.  If he keeps playing at this level during Ibaka's absence, he will force them to leave him in the rotation.  One thing I noticed last night, he was playing some minutes alongside Gasol, with Siakam playing at SF.  I get Siakam was probably playing SF due to OG injury, but that's still a potential avenue to get him minutes even after Raps at full strength.  His energy and bouncy athleticism do remind me a lot of Siakam (although different skill sets obviously).

He's a stretch big, his frame is ok for the modern NBA

The issue is when he is defending or trying to grab rebounds. He will just be out muscled.

He grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 mins last night, that ain't bad. He won't be giving you 15 rebs per game, heck, not even 10. You grab this guy for his potential to pull a whiteside with triple double in blocks

How will he get a triple double in blocks when you just acknowledged he won't be getting 10 rebounds?
