  3. Please stop harping on this "every dynasty he went top 5" stuff and thinking this is truth and a blanket statement. Just because it is your experience doesn't mean everyone else thinks this way. You either make an assumption that everyone's dynasty draft played out this way or you believe it is the way it should have played out. So I guess the questions that need to be answered is how many times you drafted Vlad in the top 5? And where did you rank Vlad going into your multiple dynasty drafts? You're walking with the gods here. Some of the posters you find yourself going back and forth w

  4. lmao elroypedro's argument is very disingenuous. He tried to count last year in his math while insinuating high injury risk. Bell's actual average games played is 12.4. Literally everything else is either wrong or misleading as well, but unpacking it all doesn't seem like a fruitful endeavor. The point of discussion is to push towards the truth, not to "win" a debate. It's clear that he does not seek truth for mutual benefit. If he did, he wouldn't obfuscate his data or editorialize his language to imbue it with negative connotations.

  5. As long as reports keep coming out that he's healthy I'm targeting him as my QB everywhere. Great value at his current ADP. Since 2012 he's been QB4, QB3, QB17 (14 games), QB1, QB17 (15 games), and QB2. Only 14 games last year and he was still QB12. Cam is a great fantasy QB who provides a nice floor from his rushing yards and you can bank on a handful of rushing TDs every year. Cam and Wentz are my 2 favorite QB targets this year.

  7. IMO Fournette is the perfect RB2 to gamble on if you have a top 3 pick. If he is healthy all season, those RB will glide you into the playoffs.

  8. This guy right here gets it. frank gore is not a place-keeper and has shown zero signs of slowing down. singletary's potential and future is so clearly written it ain't even funny: he will play second-fiddle to frank gore for the next four years, and get traded when his rookie contract ends, and then gore will subvert another rookie's opportunities for four more years. rinse and repeat. athletes from frank gore's planet age more slowly. i image frank gore and singletary will both retire in the same year, 2031.

  10. For one Butler is a career 45% shooter who has alternated between 46% and 47% for the past four years. Why would he shoot worse now? Because he is on Miami? A team you think is worse than the Wizards for reasons not based in reality. Butler if he stays healthy will play like a first round pick. The only thing he lacks is more threes. His attitude stinks, but he does work very hard on his game so maybe he will improve his three ball this year. Two, I think you are just severely underrating Miami if you think Butler has no help or they don’t have a shot at the playoffs. They were very

  12. Yeah, my concern with my armchair video scouting has been the possibility that his open stance -> closed stance timing mechanism could get disrupted by off speed stuff, but I think that's his third HR on an off speed pitch. Good to see.

  13. I think in fairly competitive leagues, it's unlikely that he remains undervalued. Guys who are reading up and studying and paying attention are moving him up their draft boards.

  18. Bears fan and Howard owner last year here. Howard was a terrible fit for Nagy's scheme. Under the previous regime he was constantly running with more traditional formations (fullback, double TEs, etc.) and against loaded boxes. He was a good in those situations because of his vision. He is very good at being patient and finding the right holes. When he got passed the first level, there was often nothing in his way. He had quite a few long runs because of these situations early on. In Nagy's scheme he didn't see the stacked boxes and his vision didn't matter. In the situations he would

  22. Good post. The fact is that elite RBs like Saquon and to a lesser extent Mixon can be great without a high end Oline. Mixon was really good last year behind a bad oline, without Dalton for 5 games, without AJ Green for half the season. Teams could come in and just try to shut down the Bengals only legit weapon and he still put up nearly 1500 yards, 9TDs and 43 receptions. So it's not like he is going from the Chiefs offense to a disaster and we have to speculate whether he can succeed in a bad offense. We already know that if things go south Mixon will still be really goo

Good article in general about how they plan to use Jones in the new offense: https://madison.com/wsj/sports/football/professional/aaron-jones-skill-set-at-running-back-fit-packers-new/article_cc05a2b9-903d-5bc0-8158-75bdd71c2e96.html Below is the TD referenced in the article that Jones scored on an outside zone play, the same running scheme Lafleur plans to implement: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000997499/Aaron-Jones-shows-off-his-wheels-on-29-ya

  25. I know that this may surprise some folks, but I'm not excited about the Eagles WR's this year. I love Ertz and I think he will get his 160+ targets and dominate at TE again this year, but I'm not too optimistic about their WR corp as a whole. Alshon going in the 6th seems a bit rich. He wasn't getting any separation last year and looked like he lost a step. A lot of experts like the value that Jackson could bring being that he is being drafted in the 9th and 10th rounds, but he could be as volatile as ever this year. When you sprinkle in Agholor, Goedert, and their young up and coming rec

  26. Jordan Howard averaged 5.1 YPC his first year in the league and got over 1,300 yards. Extremely great performance. In his second year he averaged 4.1 YPC and got over 1,100. Stil quite respectable. In his first season under Nagy he couldn't even break 1,000 yards while only having a 3.7 YPC. Now, you can say Howard is not good at football. However, his first two seasons were very very good. Bad players don't put up those numbers. You can also say that Howard didn't fit his system. However, if you can't make a guy that had back to back 1,000 yard seasons with a 4.6 YPC fit your system ther

  27. Has anyone discussed the idea that Chubb is just a better RB than Kareem Hunt? So even when Hunt gets back, they would be doing the team a disservice by putting a lesser player on the field for more than the occasional spell to give Chubb a breather. Don't get me wrong Hunt achieved great things IN KANSAS CITY under Andy Reid, the same place/system that just about every RB has succeeded in - Damien Williams, Spencer Ware, Chark West - a bunch of JAGs who all had some level of success under Reid. I think Hunt will get more than 5 touches a game when he comes back, but Chubb should abso

  29. The first month was a disaster, and we all know that. But if we count his last April start thru today, he has posted a 2.92 era, 1.18 whip, and 10.09 k/9. Pretty darn good. And if we go from mid-June to today (he did have a couple of blow-ups in early June), he has been studly...2.09 era, 0.98 whip, 10.19 k/9.

  30. I went a bit further. I combine all Offense and Defense stats, then created a cross-table to calculate all correlations between defensive and offensive stats. In my defense, I am quite insane. I crunched a lot of data, and found that teams that pass more, defend less well against the pass; but teams that rush more often, in fact defend better against rushing. Then I did the same for 2017, and all those correlations disappeared. Then I added 2016, and added all data for those 3 years for all 32 teams (so around 100 data sets) and I think I can now safely confirm: that was a completely

  34. He doesn't have to be Trout to make top 10. It's clear he's going to eclipse 200 hits and his average hard hit rate is Top 10 in MLB. He's also like 12 years old and not even close to his prime and somehow he's the best hitter on an already loaded lineup. Top 10 is absolutely feasible.

  35. I don’t know, there’s something about Guice that whispers “patience” to me. Maybe it was simply the game films I watched that left me in awe. But maybe it’s also knowing the kid faced incredible adversity in year one, and seems to have come back mentally stronger, which leads me to believe he’ll come back physically stronger as well. His attitude exemplary, his enthusiasm infectious. He seems to truly understand, and more importantly believe, that the payoff will be worth the wait and that’s what gets me excited. I’ll continue to wait patiently for what I believe will eventually define an unl

  41. Minor detail- although Hunt is on a 1 year contract he will be a restricted FA in 2020. So he can’t walk on to another team. The Browns will still likely want to show him on the field though so they can decide what round to tender him at. I’m sure after that year assuming he keep his nose clean and plays well he’ll be looking for a bigger contract as a featured back and will command more money that Cleveland will be willing to pay.

  44. No, I cannot, certainly not in a dynasty draft. Over the last 30 days (random round number), he's hit .333/.395/.574 (155 wRC+). I'm not sure if you're trolling at this point, like to argue, or just refuse to admit when you make a mistake. whatever the case, I think it's fairly obvious you made a comment that ended up looking silly and were called out on it. No shame, bro. It's a long road that has no turns.. y'know? I imagine most everyone that owns him in a dynasty is pretty happy right now. The buy-low is closing, if not already closed. ☮️
