Man do I LOVE this thread... these posters come in weekly to try and throw water on Gibson then immediately get embarrassed the following week. See you around 8 tonight, get ready to eat.

Now that I've posted a fun GIF, let's do something more serious. I saw above (and/or in Gurley thread) the speculation that this might turn into a brutal RBBC with Gurley out. Anything is possible, but let's look at the evidence. Last season, Atlanta had a washed former star RB as its RB1. (Sound familiar?) That man was Devonta Freeman. He missed two games last season: Weeks 11 and 12. The snap shares in those games: Brian Hill 60% and 59%. No other tailback (they have a fullback on this roster too) exceeded 26% in either game. That man was Ollison (26% and 18% in two games). Ito Smith was hurt. Ito Smith is a competent satellite back, although he sort of has the Moves Like JAGger. There hasn't been a single game this season Ito has played more than Hill. Smith's closest comp is Shane Vereen. Ito has never had more than six carries in a game. Hill has had eight or more carries four times already this season as a #2! Despite Ito's "satellite" skills, Hill has doubled him up on targets this season, 20-10. Hill has been thought to be an "on the way up player." He was behind Ito on the depth chart early last season. This season, he's been ahead of him. Qadree Ollison is rarely active. He's played 22 snaps this season. I'd expect him to get no more than 10% snap share. Putting this all together, I'd come up with the following: 1. Hill should get no worse than 60% snap share. 2. Ito will be used sparingly as a change of pace guy and may have 3rd down to himself, although given Hill's 20 targets this season, I wouldn't guarantee that. 3. Hill should get goal line carries. Gurley has six short rushing TDs this season! 4. Qadree Ollison's first name presumably derives from the Latin quattuor, the root of the prefix quad-, as in quadrilateral (four-sided). He is presumably named after the number four because he belongs as a fourth-stringer at best in a backfield. Maybe he gets like 10% of snaps. Conclusion: Hill should at minimum get first and second down work plus goal line. He has upside to be a 75%/80% type alpha in this game. His floor is around 60% snap share. He'll get almost all the carries. And he's not a zero as a pass-catcher either. He could easily carry the ball 15 times and catch three passes. Smith's upside is to siphon off maybe five carries and some passing game work. Ollison's upside is to make two tackles on kickoffs. This game has the second highest total of the week. Atlanta tends to score a lot and particularly likes to run the ball in close. The Raiders are 30th against RBs this season and just gave up 3 rushing TDs to the endzone-allergic CEH/Bell combo. Kalen Ballage (!!!) gashed them in Week 9. It is, indeed, Hill SZN.

Itโ€™s not the NFLs job to find you a QB. Otherwise, all the Eagles games would be cancelled.

Listen, I'm going to have to agree with the "realists" in here. Take away all three of his touchowns, his 7 targets, 5 receptions, and his four longest runs and he is JAG. Not really seeing anything special.

Even easier: James Robinson at the very tail end of the draft (17th and 18th rounds in my case)

I see the "realists" are putting on the full court press ahead of this game against Pittsburgh. I saw the same EXACT narrative for James Robinson last week who (by the way) bowling balled his way to 10+ productive points against the Steel Curtain. I imagine, people come in here in search of the Clout Wave. It's the perfect storm really. Here's how to ride it. 1. Find a player who likely smashed you or you wish you owned 2. Stay away from the thread during peak games where you may be wrong or made to look stupid 3. Use the "take away his long runs" technique to get in the door and garner some responses 4. Move the finish line back each week so that player is never able to reach your imaginary requirements (that you don't hold for any player on your roster) 5. Wait for a tough matchup to increase post intensity 6. Pray to the Gods that player has a "down" game so you can rush straight back after your weekly loss and make yourself feel better 7. Start over once you realize owners didn't buy any of your crap or conspiracy theories. Antonio Gibson owners don't need CMC. We are happily riding the production our Touchdown ATM is providing.

Non-Robinson owners and former owners who "sold high" many weeks ago continue to throw shade at a guy who is: #4 in rushing attempts among all RBs (behind Henry, Cook, Jacobs) #3 in rushing yards among all RBs (behind Henry, Cook) #3 in rushing yards per attempt among all RBs w/ 170+ carries (behind Cook, Henry) #7 in rushing yards per attempt among all RBs w/ 125+ carries (behind Cook, R. Jones, Henry, A. Jones, Gibson, Kamara) #T-3 in rushing first downs among all RBs (behind Henry, Cook) #T-8 in rushing touchdowns among all RBs (behind Cook, Henry, Gibson, Jacobs, Gurley, Kamara, Drake) #7 in receptions among all RBs (behind Kamara, Davis, McKissic, Hines, Edmonds, Elliott) #T-6 in receiving targets among all RBs (behind Kamara, McKissic, Hines, Davis, Elliott) #6 in receiving yards among all RBs (behind Kamara, Hines, McKissic, Davis, Edmonds) #T-6 in receiving touchdowns among all RBs (behind Hunt, Hines, Kamara, Carson, Edmonds) ALL THIS FROM AN UNDRAFTED RUNNING BACK ON A 1-10 TEAM THAT HAS STARTED THREE QUARTERBACKS REGARDLESS IF HE'S INFERIOR TO HENRY, COOK OR KAMARA... JAMES ROBINSON IS A... WAIT FOR IT... HERE IT COMES...
