  1. Article from Wednesday the 18th. Clearly waiting until he started to find some consistency at AAA.. Currently hitting .214 as of today http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/news/mlb-braves-top-prospect-ronald-acuna-jr-not-coming-up-soon/m4t9f1nk983618a8avfrphrpc "We're looking for Ronald to just get hot at this point," general manager Alex Anthopoulos told MLB.com. "More development isn't going to hurt anybody. We prefer to call players up when they're playing at a high level, and when they're locked in." Acuna is currently sporting a .182 batting average with just eight hits in 44 at-bats in the minors. He has just two extra-base hits and is striking out more than 38 percent of his times to the plate. He is ranked as MLB pipeline's No. 2 overall prospect only behind Angels two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani. Anthopolous sees no reason in calling up a player who isn't seeing the ball well even at the minor-league level. "I've been told he'll expand [the strike zone] and chase," Anthopoulos said. "The swing-and-miss has been there and the strikeout total has been higher than we would like."
  2. As a Norris owner, I would love for him to run away with it.. However, the reality is STL just threw a ton of $$ at Holland. Once he gets a few clean innings under his belt, you gotta figure they give him another go.
  3. Anyone have any insight on playing time for this guy. Love the raw skills. Just dont see how he gets PT in a crowded CIN OF
  4. FB was consistently sitting at 95-97 (topping out at 98 with decent command) even right before he left the game. Curve had filty bite (12-6) but had no command. Other secondary pitches had issues as well. Fingers crossed
  5. was cruising the whole game. 95+ Guy has filthy stuff. Just cant stay healthy
  6. Only 22 years old Lack of Spring Training ABs due to lingering knee injury and the dreaded issue of service time (3 weeks) http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/padres/sd-sp-padnotes-20170319-story.html
  7. Anyone have any info on service time? White Sox optioned 2B Yoan Moncada to Triple-A Charlotte. Moncada had an impressive first spring training with the White Sox, batting .317/.391/.683 with three home runs over 41 at-bats. Chicago has an opening at second base that Moncada will fill eventually, but he could use a little more seasoning and the White Sox also want to keep him in the minors for a while for service time reasons.
