  1. 10 team PPR League with 18 roster spots each (2 flexes— 1 wr/rb and 1 wr/te) Four teams make playoffs, no byes. We start playoffs week 15, so there still is a chance, but it’s unlikely. First in points scored by a wide margin, first in points against as well (1989pts and 1874pts, respectively). The 1989 points scored is already a record for this league of 7 years AND I have this week to go still. Currently 7-6 (5th place, first out of playoffs) and need a win this week and need one of the two 8-4 teams above me to lose. The two 8-4 teams are playing against the 2 worst teams, both sitting at 9th and 10th with 3-10 records (last and second to last in points scored as well). The team I am playing is 6-7 with the 3rd most points scored. The four current playoffs teams are 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th in points against. They are 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th in points for. The teams that I played twice this season you ask? Their rankings by points for are: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th. (Keeping in mind that I am 1st in points scored). Also, prior to this year nobody had ever scored 200 points in a week in our league’s history. It happened 4 times this season. Twice by me and twice against me Anyway, end rant—below is my team. QBs: Winston, Ryan RBs: Kamara, Cook, AJones, DMontgomery, LMurray, Mattison WRs: M.Evans, Woods, Jeffery, Fitzgerald, McLaurin TEs: Waller, HHenry, Gesicki (blocking opponent) K: Butker/Gay early on. Currently Zuerlein Def: Streamed mostly. Currently Steelers

  3. Not a little fishy that it benefits the commissioner because now he gets a weaker opponent in round one? I can't prove any collusion, of course. Fair enough though as I will not be playing with them next year. Just sucks because these are some of my best friends since elementary school even. Not sure why anyone would be such a sore loser about a fake game.
  4. My brother reached out to both the opponent and the commissioner to fix it because we are both competitive and want a fair league. Both refused to do anything.
  5. He basically told me that he is losing on purpose through text message because "I have already lost so I am going to be a sore loser." Saeed Blacknail? Really? Your honest opinion is that this is "fair"? In place of the #1 RB and a top #15 WR?
  6. He also has Kelce.. he had some terrible luck early on in terms of losing to very high scoring teams, etc. Yeah guess not. Sucks to lose money AND friends over a fantasy game, honestly. Just pathetic.
  7. If the commish should step in, what do you recommend he do? I asked if he could re-adjust the lineup and he said that is not his job.
  8. He has been eliminated for weeks. Sorry if my post was not very clear. The person playing my brother (the guy with juju gurley) has been eliminated for weeks, but my brother needs a win to be in the playoffs. I need a win and my brother's loss to get in.
  9. Hey guys, I want some opinions here. I am in a money league with some of my best friends of over 10 years. I needed a win this week and a loss for my brother to get into the playoffs. It looks like I did my part. I check my brother's opponent's lineup before the midday games and find that he benched Gurley for Rashad Penny and Juju Smith-Schuster for Saeed Blacknail (who he just picked up from free agents). I reach out to the commissioner, who is the person I'd be playing in the playoffs next week if not for these surprise benchings, and he says there is nothing that can be done and that it's completely okay for that person to bench Gurley and Juju since he paid his league fees like everyone else. I know that my brother did not reach out to tell the person to do this (my brother offered to bench two of his stars to balance it out which I said was ridiculous). I obviously will not be in this league in the future, but can I get some opinions on a situation like this? Should the commissioner have stepped in?

  11. Fair point, but being in a redraft league, that does not matter much to most of us. I do not care if in 2 years Reynolds is the superior prayer, etc. I am not worried about Kupp vs. Reynolds in that sense. My main point is Kupp owned a larger target share and that their roles were not the same.
  12. Lots of reasons. If I am not mistaken, Reynolds plays outside with Woods in the slot. Kupp plays in the slot with Woods outside, so not the same role. (Not every play, but mainly) Not the same "talent level"--at least that is not what the Rams think I would imagine because they were drafted 48 spots apart in the same draft. Everett and Higbee seem to get more passes thrown their way with Reynolds in for Kupp. Long story short, you are someone who snagged Reynolds and are hoping for lightning in a bottle, and that may be the case, but your logic behind it makes no sense. WR3 ROS with WR2 upside. EDIT: I own Reynolds and owned Kupp before him. I would love WR2 with 1 upside, but it just is not likely to be the case. Not every game will be a 54-51 shootout where he gets this many opportunities.
  13. Ahh seems like a slippery slope that can lead to a lot of anger. I guess we will play this season out as is and set some rules next year. Any opinion from you two about switching to a dynasty? I know a few guys I have spoken to about it love the idea, but the sore loser part in some of the others worries me that they'll give up if they draft a poor team because "now I'll suck forever"
  14. Well, that is right to a degree, but bye weeks pass and other people will face them at "full strength" again which is why it is frustrating. If it was a guaranteed win for everyone then it would not matter as much necessarily. NFL.com has an optimize lineup option which puts the highest projected guys in. It would take like 3 minutes to do it on Sunday morning.
