Trade Kemba for a 1st rounder next year? - WHIR

Recommended Posts

I am in a 20 team keeper, we keep 4. So I would be getting the 5th round pick in 2013-14 from the team currently in 13th place. I am in 6th and rising right now. Should I do this?

I give:

Kemba Walker

Elton Brand

My 8th round pick (last round of draft)

I get:

Jamal Crawford

Tiago Splitter

His 5th round pick (1st round after keepers)

My keepers would go from CP3/Ibaka/Millsap/Kemba to CP3/Ibaka/Millsap/Grievis.

I drafted Kemba and Lillard this year so that's how my team go so good, traded Lillard and D.West for CP3 from a desperate owner.

Should I grab this draft pick for Kemba?

Here's my team:

PG Chris Paul (LAC - PG)

SG Greivis Vasquez (NO - PG,SG)

SF Mike Dunleavy (Mil - SG,SF)

PF Paul Millsap(Uta - PF)

C Elton Brand(Dal - PF,C)

Util Serge Ibaka(OKC - PF,C)

BN Tyler Zeller(Cle - PF,C)

BN Kemba Walker(Cha - PG)

BN Jason Richardson(Phi - SG,SF)INJ

BN Andrew Bogut(GS - C)INJ

I could also trade Serge for MKG, Seraphin, and a 5th rounder. Idk though.

I would pull the trigger on this trade. But being in a keepers league and keeping Grieves isn't great. I would try to package Grieves instead of Walker?

This is an interesting trade, but I wouldn't do it. You have very solid keepers right now. I like what Kemba has been doing. His shot has improved greatly since last season and I think it can only get better. He has been assisting at a better rate too. Vasquez is nice, but he lacks the steals Kemba puts up. I could see Kemba's assists reaching the level where Vasquez's are now in the future once MKG has matured. Crawford is good and I like Splitter, but I don't think it would be in your best interest to trade Kemba. He can only improve from here. Brand has really improved of late and I think he will continue to get minutes off the bench. Keep what you have now.

Help with mine?

Splitter

5th rounder

6th rounder

I give

Kemba Walker

Elton Brand

8th rounder

Kemba looks like a top 40 pick next year in every format/league, so basically way more valuable than what would be your 1st round pick next year, unless my math is way off.

Let's see 20 teams + 4 keepers = top 80 players. The first pick is like having the 81st pick essentially, is that right?

If so who could you get that would be better than Kemba in the 80's. Answer, no one I'm guessing.

Also Kemba > Greivis for a keeper league IMO.

I declined the offer, also I declined Nash & Iggy for Kemba & Dunleavy.

Thanks all!
