Are we dropping Doug Martin yet?

Recommended Posts

I think I'm just gonna drop him.. The roster spot is too valuable and I need a DEF and a K. I'm shopping DHB, for a DEF, but I still need to get rid of someone for a kicker.. Martin seems like the odd man out, no?

I would think so, I'm having a similar problem. They're not giving any kind of timetable, but a torn labrum does not seem like something you can come back from quickly. I really don't think he's going to come back anytime soon and when he does, Tampa Bay is not going to magically transform into a good running team. http://forums.rotoworld.com/index.php?showtopic=388379

I would..you play to win now and that injury wouldn't let you come back overnight and when you do come back your not coming back in game shape right away especially behind that O-Line

I dropped him first thing today. Here is why, although the terrible coach Schiano says they're not putting him on IR. They will have to sooner or later. I was researching about torn labrum over the internet. All the medical websites had the following information.

Question: What is the recovery like?

Dr. Eakin: After having either of the procedures, the patient is in a sling for about four weeks, then needs physical therapy. For the more minor procedure, you'll need roughly two months of therapy, but for the full repair therapy takes about four months.

So you will not have him up until the playoffs and even then, he will not be 100%. I highly doubt they will risk him getting injured again. Damn, Schiano is terrible.
