It's still not a pretty injury since there really is no timetable on this. I'd be surprised if he didn't end up missing 4 weeks. Good news is that with no ligament damage/surgery required, shouldn't have any concerns long term or for next season

I believe Roethlisberger missed a month with a few years ago with a bone bruise in his knee fyi

Well Nats thought Werth had a deep bone bruise in his foot only to find later it was a fracture.  Hopefully the same isn't for Bryce.  Glad his acl is still intact.

Torn ACL with broken ankle .... medical doctor here that isn't an injury to be optimistic about... watch the replay (not minor by any means)

He's always gonna get hurt badly. He plays ignorant. Hard but ignorant. Part of the baggage that comes with him. Sorry boys

No doubt guys. When you ignorantly try to run and get to 1B, you're gonna hurt yourself. Listen to Mevins here.

Yeah, he needs to learn to just pimp-walk to first like a real star

In high school, I took a charge from a center trying to go coast to coast... his knee (being 6' 7"+ vs. my 5' 10") hit me square in the quad. I had a severe bone bruise on my femur. It felt like being hit w/ a sledgehammer, and bottom line I literally couldn't walk for almost 3 weeks. Electro stimulation and anti inflammatory meds were all the doctor could do.

Im not saying this is apples to apples, but I'd be shocked if this isn't a month minimum. (All things considered, it's great news!)

How do you bruise your bone in that situation?....

bone on bone contact.  from the looks of it his leg was fully extended when he came off 1b and the tibia and femur were jammed into one another during hyper-extension.  odds are his patellar tendon is swollen up like a balloon today.
