hangin n wangin 1,703
Who are we picking up to replace?? I'm trying to convince myself that I won't lose all that much if I pick ion Cron or Parra because they are on fire but then reality sets in and my butt still feels like there is a big weiner in there. lipitorkid 772
The Bryce Harper forum isn't going to become the who can we replace him with forum. Take those questions to the Bench Coach area and drop a list of players you're thinking about.

Fiveohnine 1,496
Once he's healthy he'll play. He won't just sit and wait for the playoffs if he's 100%.
hangin n wangin 1,703
This article provides some optimism. lipitorkid 772
This tweet highlights the reason he might come back sooner. It was mentioned at the end of the article linked in the post above. https://twitter.com/ThomasBoswellWP/status/896839399970922497
Michael Bluth 916
CBS is pretty optimistic seeing how they removed his DL tag and have a full week of stats projected for next week. Lol

Lol IDK how CBS works but on ESPN if you have a non-DL guy in your DL spot, you can't make any roster moves. Meaning this would be a HUGE f-up on their part, especially in these very crucial weeks where teams are fighting for the playoffs. Wow.
Members_Only_76 7,249
I have no issue moving my roster around on CBS regardless of DL status.
Members_Only_76 7,249
Anyone have a slight clue when he might be back in MLB lineup? I have to decide whether to hold or drop in redraft (auction) and could really use the cap space to pick up someone else. Or just pick up a $1 player like M. Taylor, Hicks, etc...and wait for Bryce in the next 2-3 weeks.
Fiveohnine 1,496
At one point, Dusty Baker said 10 days to two weeks. But I'm not sure how much I'd count on that.
bradwatson 1,593
There have been no recent developments so anyone who offers any sort of timetable is purely speculating.
Dark Kn19ht 440
Any news yet? Seems odd that we don't have any sort of updates on one of the best young players in MLB.

A nationals beat reporter said this on August 21st : "Harper (left knee) is traveling with the team, although he has not been cleared to participate in baseball activities or do much. He was still walking with a limp." Edited August 22, 2017 by hangin n wangin
Members_Only_76 7,249
Drop in redraft or hope he actually plays before playoffs and contributes enough?

Members_Only_76 7,249
I mean, he's still limping. It's 8/22. Let's say aggressively that he resumes baseball activities in 10 days..by the time he ramps up and is ready to play again in MLB, that may be 9/12-9/18 if we're lucky? And then has to shake the rust off. Man I'm really struggling to hold, especially in auction league with no cap space on my roster to pick someone else up for more than $1.... I'm trying to hold onto 2nd place in big money league.

Mine isn't an auction league and I have a DL slot to put him in, so he doesn't hurt me.
Fiveohnine 1,496
I'm holding until there's some news. And then I'll drop depending on how that looks.
whitekenyan24 147
Come on Bryce, give me some good news soon. Lost you, Darvish, Bellinger, and Contreras these last couple weeks. Come back and win that MVP!!!
