Freddie Freeman 2017 Outlook

Recommended Posts

I'm a huge Freeman fan.  Probably one of my favorite players in baseball.

It's early but this will be his career year. .310/35/110. Imagine he had a better line up around him. Stud

Screw the line-up, he's gonna put up insane numbers no matter what. He's a pitcher's nightmare right now and considering the long list of aces he gave trouble last year, I just don't see anyone stopping him.

They will just walk him and pitch to Markakis

Kemp bats 4th.  He'll be back on Wednesday.

Is this guy trying to be the #1 1B by years end?

My how far he has come. Pretty soon he'll no longer be Joey Votto-lite, he'll be 2010 NL MVP Prime Joey Votto.

Freddie Freeman's past 107 games (474 PA): .345/.441/.683 with 29 HRs, a 1.123 OPS and a 191 wRC

Only Trout has a higher wRC+.

My only complaint is 5 HR and 6 RBI. The Braves need to get some ducks on the pond.

No doubt.  Inciarte is picking it up though and I think Dansby will continue to improve as the season progresses.   They both got off to slow starts.

This is how I feel right now owning Freddie in two of my main leagues:

Truly felt there was too much "fluke" written into his 2017 ranks.

This is a top 10 bat with the underlying metrics to prove it.

Walks are up and strikeouts are down. Currently on pace for 123 walks and 123 strikeouts. He walked 89 times last season and struck out 171 times. Very, very good so far.

Own him in two leagues and really looking to own him in as many leagues as I can. The guy is a straight stud. You can tell the new park is only going to help his power numbers going forward. He's just now entering his prime too. If you waited him out over the years in a keeper, congratulations, your patience will be rewarded. Keep mashing Freddie, the Dirty South Slugger!!
