Trout with hit #1000 tonight.  Also, #1001, a big fly off the foul pole.  Not a bad way to celebrate your 26th birthday.

He may not even win CY Young.   Kluber hot on his tail.   Sale has the edge, because Kluber missed a full month.   Other than that, their stats are almost identical

Barring another injury or prolonged slump (lol) I think Trout still takes MVP this year

I think Altuve has a great shot at the AL MVP

He does, no doubt, but if Trout catches him in RBI and BA, which is possible, do you still think Altuve takes it?

Yes, as long as Altuve doesn't have a major injury

Another HR today, bringing him up to 25HR, 58RBI, 60R, 13SB in under 300AB.

What would that be if he matched his AB total from last year? Something like 549AB with 50HR, 116RBI, 120R and 26SB.

Please, folks, hold your applause until the end of the dong show.

A sight for sore eyes, that's for sure.  Had no worries about the 0-for-14, but with the Angels having nothing to play for, I could see them shutting him down if there's any chance of a lingering injury.  Stay healthy out there, kid.

Angels are one game out of the wild card...

Still?  Geez, I thought they slipped off the pace a couple of weeks ago.  There's my East Coast bias showing!

His streak of top 2 places in the MVP vote should end this year.   I think Altuve and Judge should be ahead of him, but who knows?
