ST. STEVEN 4,145
Another QS. This is why you just can't quit on talented young lefties!
tonycpsu 5,212
Seems like a guy that we keep seeing flashes of elite skills from in between trash starts. I grabbed him as a Hail Mary replacement for Bumgarner in a deep league, but absent some analysis that shows skills growth, I'm not going to be starting with much confidence against stronger offenses. His good starts have come against KC and the struggling Jays.)
bronxbombers723 81
anyone starting him vs texas??
PhilsPhan90 179
Why did he get pulled after 5 with only 76 pitches?

PhilsPhan90 179
Injuries are absolutely outrageous this year
PhilsPhan90 179
Any word on if the injury was serious or if he'll miss his next start?
In My Own Words 153
The Angels like babying him and with the 10 day DL, any minor thing is gonna send most pitchers to the DL.
swfcdan 659
Is it bad or a short stint? He's available on my wire now and wondering if worth stashing, but I don't have any DL slots left.
cad300 199
Oblique usually equals 4-6 weeks for pitchers, no?
daethfromabove1979 874
Yeah I imagine he will be out for a few weeks at least unfortunate because he was looking good Edited May 1, 2017 by daethfromabove1979
ST. STEVEN 4,145
Or 10-12 Weeks?? Kinda crazy timeline for a simple non-tear strain. Just when he really started to show what he could do, ugh
Stein 512
He's one of those guys someone is going to get great value from if he pitches a full season. Looked the best I've seen him in a while this year but isn't that how it goes.
Members_Only_76 7,249
I'll be looking to scoop him up and place on DL where I can.

I still love a lot of this kid's stuff, and he's going against the As... but I'd wait and see, possibly even get him and bench him if I have the space. I'm expecting a good number of Ks but a lot of BBs as well... Makes me nervous.

In a 12-teamer where most teams sit on 12-14 starting pitchers each. So yea, I'm buying, snatched him two weeks ago for a DL spot I had because he looked damn good earlier this year. Strikeout potential alone should ensure more 20pt weeks than not.
Flyman75 4,845
Thoughts on Skaggs after his return start? Wasn't pretty, but it was his first start back. Threw 83 pitches, so that has to be encouraging.
