I know you are joking, but it's a real pain. I'm holding Rosie, Cecil, and Oh right now. It's brutal. I've been predicting a trade for a while now and if they want to win, they make one soon.

Eh, I don't think he beats Reyes there any way you look at it.

Usage suggests Oh would have been getting the save opp in this game (unless Cecil was getting a 6 out save)

IF rosie gets the the gig starting with the next opportunity, i will set the over/under of appearances before he loses the "gig" at (3.5)...who wants action?..lol

over 3.5 = (+120)

under 3.5 = (-130)

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!  I love that one guy who was like Rosenthal is the closer, you heard it hear first!!!  People are so stupid and irrational when it come to FBB, I love it!  Arrow and Big Bat theory, I like reading these dudes

Rosenthal still has a 2.24 FIP on the year. And has closed well in the past. Cecil is a meltdown specialist and Oh is a free agent next year. They will most likely stick with Rosenthal or maybe go to Bowman.

His own manager said Clippard would be closing, so ... yeah, go grab Swarzak by all means.

I think Rosie is the closer but that was one of the worst baseball things I have ever seen.  I could see Matheny bypassing him out of spite.

I hope Rosenthal runs with the job so I don't have to hear about the Cards closer situation the rest of the season.

I think Rondon may be flying under the radar a bit as a stash candidate.  Since he was recalled from the minors, he's had one game where he gave up runs (the 3 ER in 2/3 of an IP on July 8.  Other than that, it's all scoreless appearances.

He's also mostly pitched the 8th, although the usage breakdown earlier in this thread was kinda messy pointing partially to Greene and partially to Rondon.  Still, Wilson seems likely to be dealt, and right now, gun to my head, I'd take Rondon I think to take over the 9th.

Oh, you'll see big guy, you'll see soon enough. Clippard is a big league closer and I'm a porn star

Big guy? I make one comment, and now we get snarky?

Ok.  I expect Swarzak won't be pitching for the White Sox past July 31.  Clippard, however, will be.  I'd take the current saves, and the future saves, personally.  Then again, we're all projecting.

Not sure why anyone thinks Rosenthal is the closer. Hasn't had a save since June, and you don't bring in your closer in the 9th of a tie game on the road.

6.46 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP for the year ... I'd bet on not Salas.

Sewald seems like a guy that *could* get a look.  He's got 47 Ks in 38 IP.  His WHIP and ERA aren't ideal, but there's not much in that pen either.  He's picked up 3 holds since 6/30 with most coming in the 8th.
