Nick O'Leary 2017 Season Outlook

Recommended Posts

He had 5 catches for 54 yards against the Bengals last week with Clay injured.  I always thought he was pretty talented in his Florida State days.  On a bye this week but could be a nice stream in week 7.  Not sure how long Clay will be out, but they're saying at least a few weeks.  Thoughts?

He did get injured at the end, but I assume it is minor.  He should get targets and some yards by default, but in terms of ability O'Leary is a JAG.  Being so athletically uninspiring, I cannot imagine he gets those huge downfield targets that Clay was getting.

It's the Bills. What other options do they have really?

Anybody else rolling him out this weekend?  Unfortunately, I have to.

I think with the lack of weapons they have, he is a good play this weekend.

I was considering picking him up but like Kroft as a better long term option since Clay will return.

Hmmm Clay was dropped.....should he be picked up?

Against that garbage defense, he could be a factor for sure (especially since Tyrod can't hit the broad side of a barn outside the numbers.)

Might Flex him this week with ASJ already locked in. This dude will get 8-10 targets lol Tyrod loves throwing to the TE, but I’m just stating the obvious there

Awfully quiet in here for this national champion TE who goes bare handed in buffalo.

Will be inserting himself into the TE1 conversation after this weekend.

5 catches for 56 yards last week.

Buffalo has no wide receivers, charles clay was getting 11 targets, nick should settle in somewhere around 8 or 9 targets, 5-7 catches per game.

Yahoo has him projected for 0.00 but no mention of injury.

Anybody know what's up?

I'd assume its the wait on Clay's status.

Bills coach Sean McDermott does not know when TE Logan Thomas will return after he was excused Wednesday for personal reasons. McDermott did not rule out him not playing Sunday vs. Oakland. If Thomas can't go, the Bills would likely be down to Nick O'Leary and Khari Lee at tight end.

Do you know how many snaps Thomas and Lee got last game? If any...

RW blurb says that Clay is out indefinitely.  But didn't HC say he was improving?  Any chance he returns week 9 or 10?

Until then, I guess this O'Leary guy is the man.

Well McCoy is the man. But this guy might have a decent amount of targets.

I think so too. He's shaping up to be a solid play this week. Should provide a safe floor given the volume without Clay and Logan. I had Howard in, but am swapping to O'Leary. Howard massive upside but sharing snaps with Brate.
